24.01.2022 Latest news from HQ. Promising news as we get closer to lifting of restrictions, even though this is not immediate. Please be mindful of the direction from HQ to not organise group gatherings of any sort at your parkrun locations until such time as parkrun events have officially returned in the region.... The main reason is to preserve the excellent relationships parkrun has with the community, as well as to ensure the safety of everyone using the space. We all want to get back to it, but need to make sure we keep parkruns reputation intact.

23.01.2022 While we’re all waiting for a decision on SA lifting restrictions, now is a good time to either register for parkrun, check your details or print your barcode!!! Once West Beach restarts, we will be scanning barcodes as you leave the finish chute, so you will need to have your barcode on you. There are a number of options you can also look into- wristbands, key tags, plastic cards. Some options here: https://parkrun-shop.com.au

14.01.2022 One week to go! We're all getting so excited to be back. There are a couple of things you need to keep in mind that are slightly different from before: - You MUST carry your barcode on you. Barcode Scanners will be waiting at the end of the finish area, ready to scan your barcode and token. Make sure you have your barcode and token ready for the scanners. - There will be a chute created for the finish area - please follow the instructions of the volunteers to make sure that w...e keep everyone in order and COVID safe. - Note there will be no keybox for you to house your keys. We will look to reinstate this once any COVID restrictions are lifted. See you next Saturday #dfyb #werunat8

As part of our COVID Framework, we are also seeing some additional Barcode Scanners who can jump in after their run/walk to help process our line of finishers. Keys include a Hyundai key and remote, a gold house key and a flouro orange key, with an Auto Masters bottle opener key ring.
