23.01.2022 How good is this? Were off to the big dance!! Today our Year 6/7 boys defeated Angaston PS and St Mary MacKillop to progress to the grand final of the competition. In the chaos/excitement of winning our last game we forgot to take a team photo but I think this photo just about sums it up. Thanks to all the parents who helped transport and made the trip up to support the boys. Your help is always appreciated. ... One more to go. Cheers, Mr Reid

22.01.2022 Apart from the 1990 film Home Alone, we’ve never seen LEGO be put to better use! Our STEM leaders (pictured) do an excellent job of running LEGO club at lunchtimes. Thank you to Tuesday’s special guests Josh and Jodie from the TV show LEGO MASTERS for running a session where students got to create their own structures and receive a signed piece of LEGO from Josh and Jodie. Thanks to all who made it possible.

19.01.2022 ATTENTION: SCHOOL SOCCER PARENTS It was announced last term in June that the NWJSA cancelled the school soccer season due to COVID-19 restrictions. As we have 82 WBPS students registered this year and it is important that this interest in soccer is not lost and the momentum continues. We want students to partake in next years soccer season and many seasons to come!... Parents who registered and paid for their child to play school soccer will be emailed today the AMAZING soccer season replacement (which is to the value of $50) and has been arranged with State Soccer. Please check both your inbox and junk box for an email from [email protected] Your child will also come home in Week 2 with a consent form for you to sign, please return to the front office by Week 4, Friday 14th August. Thank you for your patience, I hope every child enjoys and we maintain the soccer interest at West Beach Primary School. Kind regards Sally Linke (West Beach Primary School Soccer Delegate)

09.01.2022 Importance/relevance of the date July 20th: It is the 201st day of the year. In 1793, Scottish explorer Alexander Mackenzie completes the first European east-to-west crossing of America north of Mexico.... In 1969, Apollo 11 landed on the moon and 6 hours later, Neil Armstrong walked on it. In 2020, the first day back at school for Term 3 for West Beach Primary students. All equally important in their own right. See you then.

09.01.2022 Today a note regarding how to book Parent/ Teacher interviews will be sent home. Parent / Teacher interviews are scheduled to be held in weeks 3 and 4 of this term. This is a key component of our reporting process and a valuable opportunity for parents to meet with teachers and discuss their childs progress. This partnership between school and home is crucial and we encourage ALL parents to participate in this important meeting. If for any reason you are unable to attend a m...eeting during the times which are available you are asked to contact your childs teacher who will be keen to arrange an alternative time to meet. Once again this year, West Beach Primary School is using an online parent interview booking system which will enable parents to book interview times and receive instant email confirmation of their booking. To book a parent/teacher interview simply follow the steps listed below: 1. visit https://www.schoolinterviews.com.au/code?z=HuK0r6 2. login using the code: bsh6e 3. All the local communities came together on Saturday September 14th for the end of season soccer carnival. Thanks to the parents for the photos.

02.01.2022 What a fantastic demonstration of community spirit. A massive thanks to the West Beach Primary School children, staff and volunteers that made today something to remember. The Governing Council would like to express its appreciation to all old scholars, teachers, cleaners, parents and local people who attended to make today very special. We can all agree that although their have been many changes with buildings and staff over the years the one constant is the community respect.
