12.01.2022 Severe Thunderstorm Warning - Southeast Queensland for HEAVY RAINFALL and DAMAGING WINDS For people in Ipswich, Logan and parts of Somerset, Scenic Rim, South Burnett, Toowoomba, Lockyer Valley and Gold Coast Council Areas. The Bureau of Meteorology warns that, at 5:20 pm, very dangerous thunderstorms were detected on the weather radar near Boonah, Beaudesert, Laidley and Gatton. These thunderstorms are slow moving. Very dangerous thunderstorms are forecast to affect the area... between Boonah and Beaudesert by 5:50 pm and Ipswich by 6:20 pm. Other severe thunderstorms were detected on the weather radar near Mt Mowbullan and Crows Nest. They are forecast to affect the area west of Toogoolawah by 5:50 pm and the area north of Cooyar by 6:20 pm. Intense rainfall that may lead to dangerous and life-threatening flash flooding and damaging winds are likely. 83mm in the last hour at Beaudesert. Queensland Fire and Emergency Services advises that people should: * Move your car under cover or away from trees. * Secure loose outdoor items. * Never drive, walk or ride through flood waters. If it's flooded, forget it. * Seek shelter, preferably indoors and never under trees. * Avoid using the telephone during a thunderstorm. * Beware of fallen trees and powerlines. * For emergency assistance contact the SES on 132 500. She was last seen at a Jupiter Street address on Saturday, November 28 around 10am.... Police and family hold concern for her welfare, given the behaviour is out of character. The teenager is described as Asian, around 155cm in height, of slim to medium build with black hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a blue anime t-shirt and cargo shorts. The girl has no phone or money with her. Anyone who has seen the girl or has further information is urged to contact police.
