Some very tight bowling left us with an early collapse. Pearcy (3), Plugga (1), Macka (0) and Lachie kaye (0) with Milney continuing his normal ways with a well made 31. The score 6/47 just before drinks when rosewarn was caught behind for 6. Papa and Harvs batted on with patience beyond drinks with some tight bowli...ng coming from central. Harvs was the next to go caught at mid off for 20 with Casey Ferg entering the crease. Papa was the next to be judged out LBW on 24. Casey was the next to go on 13 before Aussie Ferg not long after on 2 leaving Lawro unbeaten on 6. Our bowling started suberb with Lawro leading the way again with the first with casey not far behind. When aussie toke 2 big wickets in an over the score was 4/23 after 10. Another to fall from tight bowling with Papa joining the party the score 5/40 at drinks. A few overs later and aussie was back in the wickets followed by a runout (rosewarn) resulting from pressure bowling. The openers were brought back on and finished the job off with Lawro collecting one and casey another 2. Central all out for 96. A top team bowling performance from our lads. 20.01.2022 Our second B grade game with the weekend was played on Sunday at the Zinc vs north. Our innings started once again with some big hitting from Milne. Plugga joined the party with the two putting on a 133 run partnership. Plugga was the first to go with a well made 75 off 49 including 6 x 6's and 5 x 4's, Milney then pushed on before being dismissed with west at 2/177 after 18 overs. He put on a display that had cars in danger with 83 off 54 with 8 x 6's and 5 x 4's. With 2 ove...rs to go we slowed slightly to finish on 3 for 183 off 20 overs. A bowling started slow with Puppa taking the first wicket and only wicket in the first 10 overs with north steady at 2 for 88 after 10. Stenny finally dismissed savage on a well made 47 and the table turned. A few economical overs and the wicket of victory on 40 left the run rate a little too much. West finishing victors with North finishing on 8/134 after 20 overs. Puppa taking 3/26 and a very economical 1/11 from Casey Ferg guided the boys home. A very good double for the b grade side over the weekend. See more
