20.01.2022 U/15 and U/18 TRAINING IS STARTING It’s that time of the year where we need to start getting ready for the 2021 footy season. Nathan Pearce and Mick Tho...rnberry have very kindly put up their hand to get training started for the U/15 and U/18 boys to give them the best opportunity to be ready for a late March start. Both Mick and Nathan have a long history of coaching with Nathan being a 6 time senior premiership coach so you don’t want to miss out!! First training will be Wednesday 27th January, 5-6pm at the West Footy Oval. Due to covid restrictions players will need to bring their own water bottle. Hoping to see all players there and don’t forget to bring any interested mates along. See more

15.01.2022 Exciting news for our female players! The GIANTS ACADEMY program have taken over the development space for female development. The Broken Hill region is looking... to encourage females between 11-16 to join the development program that will begin on the the first Saturday in March. It will be a 12 week program with a full uniform supplied as part of the program. After the completion of the program the players may have the opportunity to represent the GIANTS in matches. Training will occur at the Picton oval from 8.45am -10am. Cost $500 Ten spots available. Interested players will need to contact Anthony Tidball via email for registration [email protected]

10.01.2022 AFL Broken Hill are looking for some volunteers to help out with laying grass. It would be great to see some Westies there sharing the load. The call out is fo...r volunteers to assist in laying grass at Jubilee Oval on Thursday 14/1 from 10am ( max 2 - 3 hours work ) it is not a large area only some 150 square metres and it has been prepared by Mr Hinton. We planted some 2000 square metres early last year but this is one area that has not responded as we had hoped.... if you can make it great if not please spread the word - thanks Andrew. See more

05.01.2022 GWS Giants Training Program GWS Giants are holding an 8 week training program for any kids interested in improving their skills. Dates - Commencing on Saturday 24th October and running through to Christmas, at 8.45am until 10am each Saturday. Venue - Jubilee Oval. Fees - $300 dollars for each participant, which will include a full uniform.... Ages- All kids through under 13-16 eligble to join up, no matter their skill level.
