RSL Tasmania members could be making a difference and saving lives in the Australian Red Cross Lifeblood Defence Blood Challenge? The Tasmanian Donor Centres in Burnie, Devonport, Hobart and Launceston still have over 1000 appointments to fill in September alone. Remember that 1 in 3 people will need blood in their lifetime but only 1 in 30 donate. Can you spare an hour to help someone live their best life? You don’t have to be currently active in the Defence Forces to take part in the Challenge which is why we encourage RSL Members, friends and families to step up and save lives. It’s as easy as saying READY, SET, GIVE! Make an appointment to donate blood or plasma by going to donateblood.com.au, download the DonateBlood APP or call 131495. Perhaps you have already donated? Why not make one more donation by making a plasma appointment? Find out more about plasma donation here and how it can be made into 18 different life changing products. Make sure your donation is counted in the Challenge When you donate ask to be added to your Defence Lifeblood Team (Army, Navy or Air Force). You can also do this via the website or DonateBlood APP by updating your team preferences.
