24.01.2022 Muchea Sheep Report 10/11/2020 Agents yarded approximately 10,000 sheep and lambs at Muchea this week. Crossbred lamb prices eased over most slaughter classes ...in what was on a very mixed quality line up of lambs on offer. Best trade and heavy lambs sold from $120 - $140, lightweights $100 $120 and very poor condition lines $60 - $80. Ewe mutton values remained similar with best heavy ewes selling from $130 - $145 and heavy boning ewes $110 - $125. Heavy wethers sold to processors at $120 - $155, lighter weights at $100 - $120, while stores sold to graziers at $60 - $100. Heavy rams sold to processors at $60 - $90 for best lines and $20 - $60 for the older rams. 21.01.2022 Muchea Cattle Prices 9/11/2020 Muchea cattle market yarded 1,813 head down nearly 500 on last week in a reduced quality yarding ,particularly on the pastoral li...ght weights but demand remained strong. Restocker and Feeder demand from NSW graziers continues to drive the pastoral type lighter weights. Market movers today were the local weaner and yearlings to feeders up by 20c to 40c with pastoral heifers 50c/kg dearer. In the weaner portion of the yarding, the local weaner steers to feeders sold from 370c to 472c up 40c, the corresponding pastoral weaner steers sold from 280c to 376c/kg. Local weaner heifers sold from 378c to 450c up 40c, the 2 score pastoral weaner heifers sold from 240c to 404c/kg on a poorer selection. Local yearling steers to the trade sold from 372c to 402c to remain firm, 2 score types to feeders gained 20c and sold from 332c to 424c lifting by 20c/kg. The pastorals 2 score feeders sold from 260c to 368c/kg. Local yearling heifers to the trade sold from 340c to 380c up 15c, lighter types to restockers gained 20c and sold from 300c to 438c/kg. The pastoral light weights slipped in quality but gained 50c on the back of interstate inquiry and sold from 164c to 336c/kg. Medium and heavy weights remained firm and sold from 290c to 368c/kg. 17.01.2022 Muchea Cattle Report 10/08/20 Muchea cattle market 10 August saw 1,510 head down 200 head on last week and an improved quality penning prevailed on local types ...that included the best line up of weaner cattle for some time. Values across the board on local cattle were mainly 10c to 40c/kg dearer. It was the converse on quality for the pastoral yarding that comprised mainly weaner and yearling cattle presented in score 1 condition, but that didn't effect their values as a rise of 10c to 25c/kg was achieved for all types. In the weaner portion of the yarding the local weaner steers to feeders sold from 380c to 416c, up 25c/kg. The corresponding pastoral weaner steers, light weights, were generally firm at 106c to 250c and heavier types made from 260c to 284c, up 25c/kg. Local weaner heifers made from 320c to 374c, up 40c, with pastorals making from 216c to 264c, up 15c/kg. The pick local yearling supplementary fed steers to the trade made from 328c to 378c, up 10c with the pastoral yearling steers off grass, the light types made from 230c to 284c, up 25c with heavier types made from 298c to 320c, up 10c/kg. Local yearling heifers sold from 304c to 378c, up 30c with pastoral yearling heifers predominately score 1, making from 160c to 268c, up 25c/kg. Grown steers, local, over 500kg made from 324c to 328c, to be firm with pastorals selling from 236c to 298c, up 30c/kg on similar quality. In the cow market, the light weights to feeders made from 140c to 198c, up 40c/kg. The medium weight score 2's to processors made from 188c to 220c, to be firm with the prime types to processors selling from 224c to 252c, up 10c/kg. Bulls, including pastorals, light, to live export made from 296c to 458c, up 30c, medium weights to same made from 254c to 288c, up 20c and heavy types to processors were up 20c, selling from 240c to 264c/kg

13.01.2022 Muchea sheep and lamb sale penned 9,000 head down 1,400 on last week, in an overall better quality yarding and the demand was stronger throughout. Both new and old seasons lambs were from $5 to $10 dearer, hoggets gained $10, wethers were $20 dearer and in the ewe mutton market medium weight boners gained $15 with prime and heavy up $10/head. In the lamb section, new seasons light weight lambs 12 to 17kg sold from $67 to $117 at near 650c up $10, the corresponding old seasons... lambs made similar money at near 640c/kg cwt, also $10/head dearer. The light weight 18 to 20kg cwt new seasons lambs were $5 dearer and sold from $118 to $125, at near 650c/kg cwt, the corresponding old seasons lambs up by $10 and sold from $116 to $120/head at near 600c/kg cwt. The trade weight 22kg cwt new seasons lambs sold from $130 to $140 at near 625c/kg cwt up by $5, the corresponding old seasons lambs sold from $123 to $136 up $10/head at near 590c/kg cwt. The 23kg new seasons lambs sold from $140 to $145 at near 625c up $10, with the 24kg lambs selling from $150 to $151 at near 600c/kg cwt, up by $5/head. The best heavy old seasons lambs sold from $145 to $153 at near 580c/kg cwt, to be $5 dearer. The best hoggets to the trade were wethers that made from $120 to $142 at near 500c/kg cwt and were $10/head dearer. The heavy older wethers to processors gained $20 on a better quality penning and sold from $140 to $145 at near 500c/kg cwt. In the ewe mutton market, medium weight boners 18 to 24kg sold from $90 to $125 and gained $15/head. The 25 to 30kg trade weights sold from $125 to $150, up $10 with the extra heavies selling from $150 to $168 also $10/head dearer and averaged from 500c to 510c/kg cwt. See more

10.01.2022 Muchea Cattle Report 23//11/2020 Muchea cattle market yarded 2,124 head down nearly 200 on last week in a reduced quality yarding, particularly on the... pastoral light weights but demand remained strong. Restocker and Feeder demand from NSW graziers continues to drive the pastoral type lighter weights. Market movers today were the local weaners lifting by 5c and yearlings to feeders were up from 30c to 50c/kg. Manufacturing cattle gained from 10c to 20c/kg with a return to a full compliment of buyers. In the weaner portion of the yarding, the local prime weaner steers to feeders sold from 406c to 438c/kg, the corresponding pastoral weaner steers sold from 342c to 390c/kg to remain firm. Prime local weaner heifers sold from 350c to 438c whilst the 2 score pastoral weaner heifers made from 176c to 414c/kg to remain firm. Local yearling steers to the trade sold from 360c to 386c easing by 20c/kg. The 2 score pastoral cattle to feeders sold from 222c to 368c/kg lifting by 50c/kg. Local yearling heifers to the trade sold from 330c to 384c also to lift by 50c/kg. The pastoral yearling heifers on the back of interstate inquiry sold from 240c to 368c/kg. Local grown steers over 500kg sold from 338c to 370c, up 10c/kg pushed by live export demand. The corresponding pastoral types sold from 290c to 294c/kg. Grown heifers were local and sold to a top of 308c/kg. In the cow market, the medium weight 2 scores to processors sold from from 185c to 248c/kg to remain firm. The prime to processor lots that sold from 254c to 272c/kg lifted by 5 to 10c/kg. Bulls including light pastorals to live export sold from 250c to 420c to be 30c/kg dearer. Cro...ssbred lamb quality was very mixed and included a large percentage of lightweights. Best trade and heavy lambs sold from $120- $140, medium weights $100-$120 and light weights $80-$100. Ewe mutton was again in good supply, values remained similar over all classes. Best heavy shorn ewes realised $120-$135, heavy boning ewes $100-$120 and the very light from $60-$100. Heavy wethers sold to processors at $120-$150 and the lighter weights $100-$120. Best slaughter rams sold from $60-$80 while the older plainer condition lines sold from $20-$40.
