21.01.2022 The West Coast Heritage Centre is happy to announce we will be temporarily extending our opening hours for the September school holidays! Our opening hours will be as follows: September 28 - October 9, open 7 days a week, from 9:30am - 4:00pm.

From tomorrow our timetable will a...lter slightly to include two full day Queenstown Explorer journeys of a Friday and Saturday, with our half day River and Rainforest now operating of a Monday and Wednesday as our Rack and Gorge continues to operate daily. One of the miners who escaped death reentered the mine to assist in the rescue effort died four months later from carbon monoxide poisoning. He was the 43rd victim. See more
