The website will be updated over the coming days which will record results, stats and have the competition leaderboards. 24.01.2022 It's the final round this weekend which will see our top 4 playoff for the Championship as well as the League MVP crowned. At 12:00pm The Fast Team led by Kuda Juru will take on the linemen-filled team of the Serious Wolferines. Over on Field 2 The Steelwolves will be playing the boys from Wesley (Wesley Wyverns).... The winners of these games will be playing off for 5th and 6th position. At 2:00pm the championship playoff series kicks off. League-leaders We Blitz All Night will be challenged by Too Much Sauce who will see the services of Jordan Kearney return and will look to continue their hot streak after 6 wins on the trot. In our other fixture, The Misfits will be without star QB Matt Carstens as they are prepare for their matchup against the third-placed Tittsburgh Feelers. At 3:00pm our Superbowl will be underway with the winners taking home the bragging rights of West Coast Flag Football League Champions. We look forward to announcing the inaugural League MVP who will take home a brand new TDY football thanks to American Sports australia. 24.01.2022 Yesterday marked the end of another great flag season! We Blitz All Night, The Wishawshank Reception, The Bakery and Serious Business all made it through to the... playoffs for 2019 in what was a hotly contested season! SEMI FINALS: We Blitz All Night got out to an early 20-0 half time lead against the Jonathan Bielawicz-led Serious Business, before a strong second half fight back fell just short with We Blitz All Night running out eventual winners 20-8. We Blitz All Night - 20 (Ben Green 3 Passing TD's, Paul Kelly 1 Receiving TD, Matt Sullivan 1 Receiving TD, Matt Green 1 Receiving TD, Anton Cetini 1 Safety) Serious Business - 8 (Jonathan Bielawicz 1 Passing TD, Tieron Ladewig 1 Receiving TD) ** The Wishawshank Reception took on The Bakery in the other semi final with both sides looking to advance to the final in their first seasons in the competition. The Wishawshank Reception, led by QB/WR duo Jubab Howells & Gregg Tidboald, were able to build on their 13-0 half time lead and took down The Bakery with the final score 25-6. The Wishawshank Reception - 25 (Jubab Howells 3 Passing TD's, Scott 2 Receiving TD's, Mike Calma 1 Pick-6) The Bakery - 6 ** FINAL: We Blitz All Night vs The Wishawshank Reception The final match of the 2019 West Coast Flag Football League came down to two very different, but equally strong sides. We Blitz All Night came out firing with 3 early TD's thrown to Paul Kelly and Matt Green to put them in the box seat by half time with an 18-0 lead. The Wishawshank Reception couldn't quite put it all together to get back in to the contest but had a strong second half to post a couple of scores. The pressure applied by the forever-blitzing Anton Cetini proved to be crucial with a few early turnovers being the difference in the first half. We Blitz All Night took out their second championship in as many years with a final score of 30-12. We Blitz All Night - 30 (Ben Green 5 Passing TD's, Paul Kelly 2 Receiving TD's, Matt Green 2 Receiving TD's, Anton Cetini 1 Receiving TD) The Wishawshank Reception - 12 (Jubab Howells 2 Passing TD's, Gregg Tidboald 2 Receiving TD's) Congrats to We Blitz All Night on the win and well done to the other teams for making the league much stronger and more competitive than the previous season. Also a massive thanks to all of the new teams who joined us this year, it was great to have so many new players join us this year and hopefully we can continue to grow next year! And the final part that we have all been waiting for... the reasons why we play this game... the individual awards. Jordy Kickett of Too Much Sauce took out the passing touchdown trophy with a final figure of 42 passing touchdowns! Gregg Tidboald of The Wishawshank Reception was the dominant receiver of the league finishing with 26 receiving/rushing scores. Well done boys! You'll be receiving your trophies in the coming days! 21.01.2022 The All Star Game will kick off at 12pm this Sunday at James Cook Park, Hillarys. The best 14 players from across the league will go head to head in what will be a high class 7v7 matchup. 20.01.2022 Hi All, Unfortunately we've made the difficult decision to postpone the commencement of our flag football season which was scheduled for next week due to the concerns over the COVID-19 pandemic. We have our fingers crossed that we'll be back out and playing football within the coming months, but in the meantime we'll await further directions from the relevant health authorities and sporting bodies.... We take this opportunity to remind everyone about the importance of social distancing to help us get through this difficult time. 17.01.2022 Hi All, Unfortunately the City of Joondalup are treating the fields at Warrandyte Park tomorrow afternoon (9th March) and as such the ovals can't be used. We've decided to reschedule our Open day to 23rd March with the League starting the following weekend on 30th March. This will give everyone a further 2 weeks to to get there teams sorted before Round 1!... If you don't have a team yet, head on down to our Open Day and meet the others as well as join in on our pick-up games! Keep an eye out for our team/player regiatration info which will be out this week!

That's right, the West Coast Flag Football League is back for 2020 and has now moved to Monday nights Games will be kicking off from 6:00pm at the home of the West Coast Wolverines - Warrandyte Park, Craigie.... We'll kick off our season with an Open Day / Pick-up games on Monday 9 March 2020 to give players a chance to rid themselves of the rust while we finalise the teams and schedule the fixtures in preparation for a huge season. This means the real hit out begins on Monday 16 March! Team registrations must be in by 9 March. In 2020, will We Blitz All Night be able to make it a 3-peat? 08.01.2022 Rego Day is this Sunday! Come on down with your team (or by yourself) and sign up for the second edition of the West Coast Flag Football League. Teams of between 5 and 10 people can register from 10:30am at Warrandyte Park, Craigie and are invited to stick around to join in the pick up flag football games from around 11am. If you haven't found a team yet but are keen to play then we can help find you one! Just register your name and we'll do the rest.... Registration costs $70 per team and is considered a refundable forfeiture fee. If your team doesn't forfeit any games throughout the season, this will be returned. The actual season kicks off the following weekend (17th March). Games will be played between 11am and 3pm each Sunday until the end of May, with the top 4 sides meeting in the playoffs. Teams will play two games per week (11am and 12pm kickoff OR 1pm and 2pm kickoff). The cost is $35 per team per game ($70 per week) and can be paid in full for the season if you wish. To help out with all the new players and the younger blokes coming through, we'll be running a 1 hour skills session from 11am. This skills session will be a great way for rookie flag football players to learn the rules of the game and work on some of their passing, receiving and route-running skills with our coaches before the season kicks off!... 03.01.2022 FLAG SEASON IS HERE We kick off our flag football season tonight as we open team registrations for the 2020 season of the West Coast Flag Football League. For those that don't know, flag football is the fun, social, non-contact version of American football! For all you madden players or those that think they're the next Tom Brady or JJ Watt, now's your chance to show what you've got! ... After team registrations, we'll be running round-robin games to help decide the season fixture list and conferences/grading. If you don't have a team yet, come on down and we will help you find one! The cost is $5 per person which includes the games this evening, a sausage sizzle and water/soft drink to celebrate the start of a new season! Join us at Warrandyte Park, Craigie from 6:00pm. The real competition starts next week with the final schedules being announced later in the week. If you are considering giving this sport a shot, come on down this evening and join in our flag games! We'll also be promoting personal hygiene and infection control, so please thoroughly wash your hands on arrival and follow the COVID-19 safety guidelines which will be available. If you are experiencing any cold or flu symptoms, been in direct contact with a known case of COVID-19 within the previous 14 days or have recently returned home from international travel, please stay home and you can join us once it has been declared safe to do so! The top 14 players from this season as selected by the referees will take part in this exhibition match with the two team captains drafting their side from the pool of All Star players.... 01.01.2022 A big congrats to the winners of the inaugural West Coast Flag Football League.... We Blitz All Night. It took until the second overtime period for a winner to be decided as they overcome one of the strongest teams all season, The Misfits. Down on numbers and without their League MVP and Star QB Matt Carstens, The Misfits had to delve into the free agent pool for a replacement, with James Vincent stepping up with big shoes to fill. Rookie phenom Cameron De Vos and partner-in-...crime Chris Hold ran riot on the We Blitz All Night defence coming up with huge plays in clutch moments. Even having a chance to return a pick-6 on the final play of regulation to win it all, only to be tackled short as time expired. Aimée Dagnia and Diana Cara Meikle also battled hard with big receptions throughout the game. We Blitz All Night QB Ben Green with rookie Wide Receivers Matt Green, Michael Rea and Courtney Manzoney and last-minute acquisition Luke Reagon played a clinical semi-final knocking off #TooMuchSauce 26-2 and charged into the Superbowl with confidence brimming. We Blitz All Night looked the overall winner and led with less than a minute to play in regulation, only for Misfit Wide Receiver Chris Hold to run the length of the field to tie it up and take the game to OT. As the game went on, the nervousness and intensity grew, but it was none other than Courtney Manzoney who caught the walk-off winning score to cap off a brilliant game and the perfect finish to the league's first season. Courtney was a defensive stalwart for We Blitz All Night and ended up being one of the leading tacklers throughout the league, despite being one of only 6 women to take part in the inaugural season. Commiserations go out to #TooMuchSauce and #TittsburghFeelers who were our third and fourth placed finishers this season. Also special mention to Flag Football West for recently hosting the Flag Football Carnival for us last Sunday with teams from both leagues competing. It was a ripper of a day and we look forward to making it bigger and better next year, hopefully we can challenge for top spot next time!
