17.01.2022 The amazing @robynlambird - such a strong work ethic, resilience, determination and a pleasure to work with! Posted @withregram @robynlambird 1 year to go, Tokyo Paralympics take 2! Oh boy, the last 6 months has been a bit of an emotional roller coaster I have to say. I came of a killer summer season, in which I felt I had made so many gains as an athlete in mindset and performance, to so much uncertainty surrounding the Games and eventually the news of its postpone...ment. Following this I’ve had a string of injuries and illnesses that to be honest really knocked my confidence in my abilities as an athlete. BUT, my amazing team kept me focused and on the right path through it all. Now I finally feel as though I’m making progress and I’m determined to make this extra year count. Shout out to my coach @blancheherbert for never loosing sight of our goals and never wavering in your dedication to my development, to my amazing physio Tania at @westcoastphysiotherapycentre for keeping my body moving and most importantly for teaching how to invest in my body in a way that makes life so much easier both on and off the track, and to @insidewais for all your support and for the opportunity to keep doing what I love... let’s do this! 16.01.2022 Concussion is tricky. Brett Althorpe, Specialist Physiotherapist, has completed the internationally recognised CCMI training to be on top of the research and up to date management. There are so many symptoms including dizziness, altered vision and headaches. There are advanced return to activity tests and treatment but you need to be assessed and tested by someone who knows what they are doing. This is not part of the regular training of Physiotherapists or other medical providers. Let us know if we can help you. .

08.01.2022 It's been a privilege to work with @sean_szalek here in Perth over the past 5 months. A lovely comment below from Dr Ross Radic: A joy to operate on an athlete with such impressive attitude and dedication to rehab, after what was a devastating injury during a meet in Sydney. Credit to @taniaalthorpe at @westcoastphysiotherapycentre, and your Sydney based team.... Click link below to see Sean Szalek in action! https://www.instagram.com/p/CD_QxdzDHe1/

Both Brett and Tania have all the qualifications possible as a physiotherapist, but this hasn't stopped them from continuing to learn all the latest evidence based treatments available for our clients. @westcoastphysiotherapy.com.au / 9341 2215
