24.01.2022 Wow are we blessed to be able to look after our community with support from SA Country Womens Association through their pay it forward campaign with beautiful Blankets, Beanies and Gloves, Five Loaves Bakery, Cummins who delivered Bread, Rolls and Buns this morning and Foodbank for fresh fruit and veg. Thank you Dennis Transport for freighting our knitted goods from Adelaide and all our other supporters locally

24.01.2022 Code Blue call out of appreciation! Huge shout out to these two stars who are out and about tonight into hidey spots and off the beaten track ..... as no one should be without somewhere warm to stay on any night we reckon but especially nights like this Over the last 24 hours we have all felt so privileged to be able to support 5 rough sleepers in our community to secure accommodation options , access some food, some warm clothes and toiletries None of this would be pos...sible without the community who support us as a service, the generous donations and the dedicated support of staff and volunteers (including staff who volunteer after working all day supporting people) Thank you Jo See more

22.01.2022 "Theres a big trend towards taking a housing-first solution where, if you can provide people with appropriate secure housing, youre then able to provide the w...rap-around services to address any health or mental health issues. "[If] you have more secure housing, youre more likely to be able to attend school regularly, youre more likely to stay out of the justice system."

21.01.2022 If you or a loved one are experiencing domestic or family violence and need assistance with safe accommodation, counselling or information, please call the Dome...stic Violence Crisis Line at any time on 1800 800 098. Trained counsellors will provide you with access to free, confidential and immediate help.

18.01.2022 We have woken up this morning to news of a violent video circulating on social media and warning us to keep our children off of these platforms .. as a mum of ...a 14 year old (and a far from perfect mum sometimes) I try to do the best I can in this space - while still giving my young person the growing independence needed at this stage of development ........ but its hard and our young people will see and do things we would prefer they didnt at times at Mentally Fit EP we encourage everyone to use this time as an opportunity to have those hard conversations (age appropriately) , that sometimes life is tough, that sometimes we really struggle and so do our mates and family and that sometimes reaching out, talking to someone or telling someone if we are worried about our friends is the hardest but bravest thing we can do stay safe and care for each other - we are all in this together - Jo C See more
