24.01.2022 We can totally recommend being immersed in the Mark's account of the life of Jesus!

21.01.2022 What a week! We thank God for the hard work of Victorians, the selfless life-giving dedication of medical staff, and wise leadership which has led to relaxed restrictions across the border. We pray for wisdom for people of the USA as they elect their president.... We grieve for the people of nations where Covid-19 is spiralling out of control, and for the families of church members killed in Nice. Perhaps the words of Rend Collective's song, "Weep with me" help articulate our cry to Jesus? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nfXwzMi1FxA

16.01.2022 Proud of you Mike!

15.01.2022 On Sunday, Mike spoke of the comfort we have knowing that 'God is with each one of us, each moment of each day, wherever we are, whoever we are with.' In this challenging week, he suggested focusing on Psalm 46 which starts with this assurance, 'God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble...'... https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/ Today, thanks to Spotify, I listened to 'My refuge' for the first time. This song is based on Psalm 46. I like the pause for reflection half way through the song, "When anxious thoughts take hold of me, I remember you're the Prince of Peace" May you know the peace Jesus offers. 15.01.2022 Mike preached such an important message on Sunday for anyone who follows Jesus: M&M&M 'Motivation and Ministry and "Why Me?"'... Don't miss it! http://wcunitedchurch.org.au/sermon-recordings/ http://dl.dropbox.com//2020.09.13%20-%20Our%20Motivation%2

13.01.2022 If you would like to join us in remembering Jesus' death and resurrection, you are welcome to join our online service. Please email [email protected] before 9:30 CST and you will be sent a link. Easter Sunday, 10 am 12/4/20

11.01.2022 Jesus said, Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives.... Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. John 14:27 (NIV) What an amazing gift! In these anxious times, let’s thank God for that gift and encourage each other to allow the peace of Christ to replace the fear in our hearts. Whether you have been to church recently or not we would love to have you join us, but not until after our Government tells us its safe to be meeting together again in person. We have decided to suspend all meetings until the need for physical distancing has abated. In the meantime, we will be streaming our sermons and praying together at 10 am on Sunday mornings. Any time after 9:45 am on the day, click on the link below and we will have fun learning how to go online together. Join the meeting: https://meet.jit.si/WCUC

10.01.2022 Let's help if we can.

09.01.2022 Though the doors on our building remain closed, we are still 'meeting' online to get to know Jesus and encourage each other. If you would like to join us, please email darren@wcunitedchurch and I will send a link for our Zoom meeting which is at 10 am every Sunday. If you haven't used Zoom before, allow a few minutes to download and install the app first.

07.01.2022 Our leadership have decided to suspend meetings, including our Sunday service for a month. We will post links to our Sermon which we plan to stream online. In these anxious times, knowing Jesus who offers peace unlike anything else available in the world is a priceless gift. While we aren't meeting together, we pray that we may share this gift wherever we go.

07.01.2022 Well worth reading!

06.01.2022 We thank God for the vigilance of a junior doctor who has helped to catch the Coronavirus outbreak early enough to limit its spread. Still we will be meeting via Zoom today (22nd November). If you would like to join us, please use the link on our website.

06.01.2022 What a privilege we have; getting to know our King! Perhaps over the next year (or two or three) you would like to see how God has revealed Himself throughout history, and how we can live in response? The Bible Project | The Bible http://bible.com/r/1Fk

05.01.2022 It has been great to start meeting again with appropriate social distancing. On the 16th of August, we are starting a series on 2 Corinthians; 'The moment we are in doesn't cancel the mission we are in.' (Ed Stetzer - Wheaton College). Facing a terrible threat to his life, and hearing of friends who were being torn apart by ego-driven, self-interested leaders, Paul wrote to the church in Corinth. There is meaning in suffering he says, because we cannot meet the God of all com...fort when we are comfortable. Though we might feel incapable in role, the brilliance of God's offer shines through as Paul reminds us: So we are Christ’s ambassadors; God is making his appeal through us. We speak for Christ when we plead, Come back to God! For God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin, so that we could be made right with God through Christ. (2 Corinthians 5:2021, NLT) Please feel free to join us on Sundays at 10 am, or email [email protected] if you would like to join our Zoom service to check us out first.

04.01.2022 Mark it on your calendar!

03.01.2022 Even in tough times, we can help to ease the sufferings of others.
