10.01.2022 When I was walking through the cows tonight, enjoying the sunset, the cow’s company and thinking about yesterday’s classification results.. it dawned on me that... all 5 Excellent cows have one thing in common: MJR BLACKSTAR EMORY. Westdama Emory Trenna now Ex90 2E and Emory Sucrose now Ex90 5E are 2 of only 4 ever daughters of Emory we had.(the other 2 were VG88 and VG85. Emory had limited availability in Australia Westdama Allen Tam now Ex91 3E is sired by Canyon Breeze Allen, a son of Emory .. Tam is one of 3 Excellent Allen’s we’ve had at Westdama Westdama Ernesto Svante now EX91 1E and Ernesto Sweetpod now EX90 1E are daughters of Probstland Ernesto, who is a son of Sandy Valley Forbidden, who is a son of EMORY! Of course all 5 are from pretty strong cow families! Emory is a sire from the pre genomic era who’s mother is VG and granddam is only scored G, not too many bulls were ever sampled with pedigrees like that pre genomics! See more
