Minor / Major Pairs Championship results: Kelly Dart and Deb Morrow 22 def Gai Morrison and Heather Purcell 10; Hela Bryan and Kath Ashby 21 def Jess Ball and Bev Margery 10... Two games were played yesterday Deb Brown and Ros Gilholme def.Ivy Jeffries and June Madden; Sue McCauley and Judy Cassidy lost to Di Hildebrandt and Mary Ney. Games set for next round Saturday at 9.30am: K Dart and D Morrow v P Dawson and B Goss; Sunday at 9-30 H Bryan and K Ashby v C Kitcher and H Davis Next Wednesday 25th A Beecroft and M Rich v D Hilbrandt and M Ney: Friday 27th D Brown and R Gilholme v A Findlay and J Usher. Players wishing to play earlier than this time, need to contact bowls’ manager, Anthony Brown. Social Bowls Nev Kitcher, John Mackenzie and Warren Brown were last Wednesday morning’s social winners. They edged out Grant Madsen, Tweed Heads visitor, Sean Lamb, and John Davis. Third spot went to Roger Braintree, Ros Gilholme and Mary Ney. Kath Ashby won the Lucky Draw. On Friday, the players just managed to get in before the hail storm. Col Hume and Buck Millgate were the winners on a countback from Ron McCauley, Dave Kilsby and Dick Jeffries. John Rodis took something from the morning when the Lucky Draw of $40 went his way. A reminder to midweek social bowlers that names need to be in to Anthony by 8.45am for a 9.30 start. Zone Championships Club Dubbo is proud to have the Burrabadine Christian Community School at the club for lessons for an hour each over the next four Tuesday afternoons. Any members wishing to assist on these afternoons can contact men’s president, Glenn Morrison. Christmas season raffles are now under way at Club Dubbo. Each Thursday, Friday and Sunday evenings, half-hams and meat trays are on offer, with the draws commencing at 7.00pm. 20.01.2022 Today saw our last Club Championship game of the year with the Minor Major Pairs final between Kelly Dart & Deb Morrow v Deb Brown & Ros Gilholme: The game was over 18 ends in the 3 bowl format. Dart, Morrow got the early jump leading 15- 4 at half way mark (9ends), it proved too hard for Brown and Gilholme to make a comeback, with Dart & Morrow winning 19-11. Dart & Morrow proved to be the team to beat in the championships knocking off some strong teams! For the runners up ( brown & Gilholme) played well in the fina,l but the champions were red hot today. Congratulation to Kelly & Deb



19.01.2022 2020 Mixed Fours Results: Quarter Finals, 3 remaining games were played this morning! Congratulations to all winners, Semi Finals set down for next weekend!

16.01.2022 Minor / Major Pairs Championship results: Di Hildebrandt and Mary Ney 21 def Aileen Beecroft and Marg Rich 15; Deb Brown and Ros Gilholme 24 def Anne Findlay and June Usher 14. In a semi-final last Sunday, Kelly Dart and Deb Morrow 17 defeated Carol Kitcher and Helen Davis 15. The second semi-final between Di Hildebrandt and Mary Ney v Deb Brown and Ros Gilholme will be played on Wednesday at 9-30am. The winner of this match will progress to Saturday 9-30am morning’s final against Kelly Dart and Deb Morrow.

05.01.2022 Another fantastic ending to our bowls season was held last Sunday in the East v West Challenge! Congratulation to the West team lead by their captains (Judy Cassidy & Glenn Morrison), making it back to back titles: Unfortunately for East’s captains Bruce Baker, & Ros Gilholme there noggin will be on display for next 12 months in the famous trophy’s ! The challenge, and it’s much sought after trophy, pits club members from both sides of the Macquarie River against each o...ther. Beginning in 2009, the competition has been dominated by the Easties, who won up till 2 years ago won 8 of the previous 11 challenges. The final scores been 170-151, west only winning 3 rinks out of 7, but the 3 rink wins all by big margin!
