18.01.2022 Congratulations to our Div 1 Ladies on a massive 7-0 win this past weekend!! We ran out there with black armbands in remembrance of our coaches Dad. A man who weekly would ask whether we got the win.

17.01.2022 New Coach for the Aus National Womens team the #Matildas! And Aus hosting the next Women's world cup. Womens soccer just getting better and better. A few bright lights in 2020... next up our own WEFC womens seasons..

17.01.2022 West End Gems before & after the game last friday night. 10-0 win with four goal scorers (with a lovely chip over the head of keeper for a first goal to Helen!) some great timed intercepts by Gemma in goal a "great wall of brighton" (our solid defence)...some great passing from the back line through midfield... everyone chipped in for another great game... but the person of the match was probably Harry, our ever patient, enthusiastic coach and cheer squad. We would be a rabble without him. He is the best.

14.01.2022 What a way to end the season! On Saturday our div 1 ladies finished the season off with a 4-0 win. Well done everyone on a great season!

13.01.2022 Another great game by west end gems sunday afternoon at Davies Park! 6-0 win and now top of the ladder!

12.01.2022 So we forgot to take a photo.... But last Friday night the West End Gems (Women's over 30's Team) took on ACE, the top team on the ladder, on a misty late Friday night out at Southpine. We got a lucky break with a free converted into a goal on the edge of the box in the mid first half but lost a midfielder to illness. After a few attempts pulled off a lovely series of passes through the midfield (exactly as coach Harry had instructed at training) and slotted in another goal ...going into half time. They came back firing and the back line was getting hammered but maintained a super solid defence. A winger pulled muscle was out injured, then we lost another. No subs left and ACE had four! For a grueling final 30 minutes the team held together, even playing out of position, only conceding the one goal and managing to hang on for a very well deserved win ... See more

12.01.2022 Partisans had a good win last night 5-2. Winners are grinners !

11.01.2022 Over 45s. Always informal and celebrating our first win (5-1) in four matches. We are still undefeated this season.

08.01.2022 The Fortified. Half time rain got us up close & all COVIDy

07.01.2022 Couple of action shots (...) from the WEFC Over 30s (gems) team last Sunday. The ref was a no show, the ground was hard when you hit it, and the sun was at just the right angle looking up the paddock, that you couldn't tell friend from foe, but Claire Doyle managed to convert a free to special toe poke from an angle goal to get us back in the match and we managed to hold on 2 - 1 in the end...

07.01.2022 The GREAT WEST END DERBY (Round 1) - Sunday afternoon our over 30's womens teams went head to head in massive match at the Griffith Uni fields. It was a tough, windy, red faced affair, but finished with lots of good cheer ... and champagne.... Gems came out on top this time, but with a few players down, the Parmesans will be looking to equalize when we meet again in November... and hope to have a bunch of you (West end community) come watch us at Davies Park then

05.01.2022 Congrats to our div 1 ladies on a great 3-0 win. Well fought throughout and they even had to survive a mini wind storm.... I’m surprised players weren’t being blown over!!!

05.01.2022 The West End Fortified notched up a well played 4-1 win last night. Well done lads.

04.01.2022 Merry Christmas and see you in 2021 - https://mailchi.mp/33a4/wefc-annual-general-meeting-7078865

01.01.2022 Hello Community! What do you reckon about this giant thing being built on the edge of Davies Park? It may well pevent any future expansion of the park, and we all know how desperate West End is for more green space, not just for sport, but for our kids, community and all the other creatures... (namely doggos who lack a good space to run)
