So we need it, but over time and many years it can draw us down and compress on the structures within our body, including our nerves, blood vessels and inter vertebral discs within our spine. In saying this, I have good news - there are ways we can help ourselves with self maintained spinal decompression. This can be easier than it sounds, for some of you that want to try it, you can hang upside dow...n from the hips with Aerial Yoga which has helped myself and others greatly, but if you feel for your own body this is not something for you, there are many ways you can gain decompression with exercises at home, work, or anywhere! The video will show you in detail what structures you are stretching and how to stretch them. 18.01.2022 Preventing the occurrence and spread of Corona Virus I want to make a public statement to all my current and future clients that I am still massaging at this time, although I am not taking this situation lightly. For you to stay well and safe during this time, I will be implementing a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness within the massage room and reception area. Your health is very important to me, I will also I ask you to help me during this process. Below are the step...s taken to ensure your massage involves best hygiene. Disinfecting massage table vinyl before and after every treatment, especially face cradle and arm rest. Replacing all towels with fresh towels after every treatment. Single use hospital grade covers placed over face cradle, which will be thrown away after every use. Disinfecting all high use areas after every person leaves the room such as; chairs, tables, door handles, etc. Cleaning of hands - this is for both you and myself, ensuring hands are washed properly with soapy water before entering the massage room, sanitiser will be around the studio for you to use as well. Reception, including it's devices, will be disinfected after every use. Let's please keep in touch, all further appointments are going ahead unless either, I am feeling even the slightest bit unwell I will let you know straight away, or you contact me in advance for the same reasons. 02.01.2022 Okay, let's talk about sleep! Sleep can effect almost every tissue inside the body. Did you know that a good solid restful nights sleep can; Reduce inflammation in the body... Improve memory Repair your body's cells Improve your mood Regulate your hormones Improve your immune system Reduce stress Oh and so so much more.... But getting to sleep can be so difficult at times. What routine do you do before even getting into bed? Just taking a hot shower or bath can be one thing, making your own personal routine can help. I like to meditate or listen to calming sounds to help me sleep - I use Insight Timer; a useful tool for me is to listen to rain sounds, singing bowls or any nature sounds as I'm drifting away to sleep.
