24.01.2022 Forklift Operator Wanted - Full Time - Immediate start Western Containers Services is a one-stop shop for shipping container sales, hire, modifications, and repairs in Sydney, Strathfield area post code 2136. We require an experienced forklift operator to assist our current operators and to assist our busy modifications and repair personnel with container movements. The work will primarily involve shipping container movement, with some unloading of stock and parts deliveries ...using a standard fork. Duties will include: - Loading and unloading of containers to & from trucks - Efficient storage of containers according to status - Assisting fabricators and repairers with movement through workshops as required - General depot duties during lulls in work Required: - A current high risk work license - A current driver's license - A positive attitude (the skills set can be taught) - Reliability and punctuality - Ability to start by 6.30am each day post probation. - Ability to take instruction willingly - A commitment to working safely - Confident in using two-way radio for communication Desirable: - Experience with large forks - Experience moving shipping containers While the desirable attributes will be highly regarded, previous fork operation experience, and a positive and hard working attitude are the primary requirements for the role. 14.01.2022 Western Container Services doesn't just service big business, Aussie Joe needed a new roof in his 10ft container and budgets didn't allow Joe to buy a new "one way trip" container so for a few hundred dollars we rolled his container on its side for a bit of TLC to the roof. 03.01.2022 Attention: Western Tank Services ***** Customers******* Unfortunately we have just lost our heavy lift capacity at our Chullora depot. We cannot lift full ISOs due to starter motor issues. We have mechanics on site trying to resolve the issue. We have been told this may take until 12:00pm to resolve. We will do everything in our power to get it going prior to that time....
