20.01.2022 Not only have they taken the top spot as The World's Most Liveable City, Vienna is also kicking Melbourne's butt on public transport! http://climc.nl/trnspt

20.01.2022 The Asia Pacific region is punching well above its weight in pursuing sustainable zero waste management models, exposing corporate industrial product design and... waste failures and mobilising people for systemic change... in some of the hardest places to do so in the world....you can read about this amazing work here. #Zerowaste, #GAIAAP, #Zerowasteoz See more

20.01.2022 The world's most dangerous bee-killing parasite has been detected in Australia for the first time. And our wide use of neonic pesticides is leaving bees even mo...re vulnerable to the viruses it carries. Call on Agriculture Minister David Littleproud to urgently follow the EU's lead and ban neonics now. Please SIGN THE PETITION - don't allow government complacency to subject Australia to the bee decimation that has occurred in many other countries in the past few years. See more

18.01.2022 A good step forward - so long as the troglodytes don't get in at the elections!

18.01.2022 And Australia did its share, especially the recent felling in Queensland - with other states not far behind!

17.01.2022 Forests are for life and need protection. Paper and logging should be from sustainable forests. This stopped in the Otways, so when is it going to stop in the Rubicon Forest and other parts of the state.

16.01.2022 We need to prevent this being destroyed!!

16.01.2022 Wyndham's War on Waste update

15.01.2022 For the first time ever, Greenpeace is campaigning in a by-election contest. This time, in Wentworth... To put it simply if the Liberals lose this seat over... climate change, it will send shockwaves through the Morrison Government. Over the coming fortnight, youre going to be instrumental in Greenpeaces first ever by-election campaign. SHARE this post to spread the word.

12.01.2022 Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is ready to tackle climate change.

10.01.2022 Don't let Wyndham's heritage disappear simply because developers prefer houses and profits to trees and community heritage. Please speak out to our councillors and politicians to stop this unnecessary destruction.

10.01.2022 Fancy this poll currently running almost 3:1 to #StopAdani #ShareAndVote

09.01.2022 The Nanticoke Generating station was once the world's largest coal plant, but it's about to to go all solar. We must continue to move our energy system away from fossil fuels, toward energy efficiency and sustainable energy sources, and finally put people before the profits of polluters.

08.01.2022 Worth further investigation!

08.01.2022 An outrageous display of stupidity and disregard for the community and the environment. They continue to let the drink bottle providers and related industrial self interests bamboozle them with false claims about the expected impacts of the container deposit scheme - and they have been doing this for many years since the days of EcoRecycle in the first few years of this millennium. Shameful and stupid! Hopefully the forthcoming elections will help show them the error of their ways! But I won't hold my breath!

07.01.2022 your invitation to an enjoyable and interesting evening at WREC's Xmas Breakup at the Italian Sports Club Werribee Thursday evening from 6pm -9pm (Guest Speaker at 7.30pm )

07.01.2022 Launch of new cinematic campaign for Victorias Great Forest National Park kicks off today. Through the eyes of leading Australian Hollywood Director Toby Phil...lips, viewers are taken on a journey through picturesque landscapes, critically endangered forests and the destructive effects of industrial logging for paper. The film follows local adventurers as they journey across the region on horse, bike, foot and kayak. Phillips, a resident of the Yarra Valley, was inspired to make the film after learning about the destruction on his doorstep. The Make it Happen film has also been supported by Australian musician John Butler, who provided the iconic sound track Oceans. Production of the film took place in May 2018 on location in the proposed Great Forest National Park, and was sponsored by both Canon Australia and Panasonic Australia About the Director: Toby Phillips is one of Australias leading Hollywood exports. One of only three Australians honored by Kodak in their first tribute to the worlds top 100 cinematographers. He has worked on films including Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome, Born on the Fourth of July and Yentl. Phillips has also created music video clips for iconic artists Madonna, TLC & David Bowie The campaign for a Great Forest National Park is one of Australias most talked about environmental issues. You can support the campaign with tax deductible donation to our Documentary Australia fund. http://www.documentaryaustralia.com.au//the-great-forest-n

06.01.2022 Norway has become the first country to ban deforestation. The Norwegian Parliament pledged May 26 that the government's public procurement policy will be deforestation-free.

05.01.2022 In 2017 alone, 40 football fields worth of forest were cut down or burned...every minute. #YEARSproject

05.01.2022 Record-breaking heat waves are rippling across the planet. #YEARSproject This is a crucial time to Rise up together and demand real change.

05.01.2022 The creation of the Great Forest National Park is one of the best ways to protect the planet and our environment - unless we stop the logging of our native forests we will not only be destroying our environment and the habitat of a broad range of endangered species but we will also significantly destroy a major carbon sink and contribute significantly to catastrophic global climate change. This is a chance for the state government to leave a wonderful lasting legacy for the future.

04.01.2022 Don't let the morally bankrupt troglodytes in Canberra destroy our marine parks!

01.01.2022 If Geelong can do it why can't Wyndham? A great way to change people's perspective on school transport.

01.01.2022 If you were shocked by the dire findings in the most recent IPCC report please be aware that it UNDERSTATES the severe predicament we are in. As David Spratt ha...s been reminding us for over a decade now, despite what vested interests and their media clients say IPCC reports are NEVER alarmist - they are intrinsically conservative and under-estimating of risk. The scientific review process means that they lag several years behind the latest research, they tend to be self-censoring and scientifically reticent, and governments often try to tone them down to hide from justified implicit criticism. Thus the Austraian Government didn't want the latest report to mention the death of reefs :( We have no more time to waste - we lost that at least 10-15 years ago. Don't panic, but do try to respond to the situation as it really is - and not like we might hope it was.
