21.01.2022 Day 2 at SA State Age Championships Morning session consisted of: 5 swimmers 13 races 13 PB's ... 6 x 1sts (one 1st in 200 Back as an 11 yo but was a 12&U event therefore no medal) 5 Gold 2 Silver 1 Bronze 1 SAA/SAR record - 12 yo male 200m backstroke 2 more races tonight 1 race for finals as the top 20 Another awesome day by all the Sharks. 06.01.2022 After a very busy 4 days at the 2015 SA State Age Short Course Championships the Western Sharks finished with: 8 Swimmers 44 individual races 38 individual PB's... 4 Relays 4 Relay PB's 24 Medals: - 15 GOLD - 6 SILVER - 3 BRONZE 1 SAA/SAR RECORD - 12&U 100m Backstroke 1st Relay Medal since the Western Sharks have returned. Female 12&U 4 x 50 Medley What an awesome effort by all swimmers, coaches, families, friends and supporters. Our club photographer took over 5000 photos during the 4 days, some will be uploaded soon.

Today marks the start of the GC2018 mascot jo...urney with the launch of the GC2018 Mascot Design Competition. The GC2018 mascot will be a leading personality in the run up to and during the Games. It will promote the Games and its values and play an important role in key GC2018 programs and milestone events. The Minister for Education and Minister for Tourism, Major Events, Small Business and the Commonwealth Games, the Honourable Kate Jones MP, launched the GC2018 Mascot Design Competition campaign this morning at Carrara Stadium, inviting the Australian community join in the unprecedented nationwide competition. In addition to the history-making, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity of designing the GC2018 mascot, the ‘artist’ of the winning entry will receive: four tickets to the GC2018 Opening Ceremony on 4 April 2018 three nights’ accommodation on the Gold Coast for four people transport to the accommodation (which, if necessary, may include return airfares to/from your nearest airport and return transfer to your place of residence) for four people a chance to provide creative inspiration for the design of the mascot a chance to be part of the promotional story of the mascot creation.
