25.01.2022 Wow, 2020! You were shaping up to be our best year yet with the opening of our new kids #playground and hotel improvements! Our well laid plans were turned in...to disarray in March when our industry along with many others were forced to close. With the support from our loyal patrons and staff we have recovered to finish the year off with a bang. We take this opportunity to thank you all for being apart of the Braddie family. 16.01.2022 Due to the recent wet weather, the Outdoor Cinema scheduled to take place at Max McMahon Oval, Rutherford this Friday 8 January will be postponed as the groun...d is currently closed. The event will instead be held at the same venue on Friday 12 February from 6.00pm, with the film Wonder (PG) to begin at 8.00pm. While all current tickets are valid for this new time, if ticket holders would like a refund all you need to do is follow the instructions on the email you will receive. The Outdoor Cinemas to take place at A&D Lawrence Oval, Thornton, this Saturday 9 January, and Roy Jordon Sports Complex, Gillieston Heights, on Sunday 17 January, are still set to go ahead as scheduled at this stage. 15.01.2022 Western Suburbs Cricket Club were very proud to present Mark and Cindy Mortimer with a Cheque for $1550 today. The Mortimer family have been synonymous with the Plovers since the 80’s. Both David and Mark donned the Plovers attire and represented the Club with distinction and pride with David still applying his trade today. Mark sustained life threatening injuries in a serious car accident late September of this year, which has changed his whole families life forever. ... Given 48 hours to live, Mark showed unbelievable tenacity and fight to overcome the biggest of life’s hurdles. Mark has come home for Christmas with the family and is in great spirits with rumours that he will return to the pitch in 2021. The Plovers family are ecstatic with Mark’s progress and we are looking forward to seeing Mark continue on his road to recovery. A true Christmas miracle.
