24.01.2022 At today's meeting, our guests were from the WA Inspired Quilters. They told us the stories behind some of their beautiful work showcasing the Western Australian outback. Wonderful stories and wonderful work!

22.01.2022 Today a number of our club members had a fabulous outing to Boola Bardip (Perth Museum) - many thanks to Jennifer for organising this social activity. We had a very enthusiastic tour guide,Tarryn, who was also a great story teller. The museum has so much to see and so many stories waiting for visitors to discover. And the fabulous blue whale skeleton is once again available for the public to view!

21.01.2022 We held our monthly general meeting on Wednesday 26th May and what a great meeting, 36 members and 5 visitors! Before our meeting we were entertained and informed by a wonderful guest speaker, Mr John Thornton, from the Regal Theatre in Subiaco, who was supported by a very capable stage assistant, our very own Raelene Hoffman!! The meeting included a number of agenda items, among which were the following: Presentation of 10 year pins to Carolyn de Bissey and Dianne Far...rar - congratulations and thanks for your ongoing service to our club; new member badge was presented to Debbie Dingley - welcome to our Club, Debbie. Some other items - vote to pay in advance our Learning for Life Students; discussion of National Resolutions; thanks to long-time member, Diana Sherwin, for donating two gift vouchers for our students - Diana is now a member of Melville VIEW Club; request for a member to take on role of Club Historian as this position is currently vacant. 20.01.2022 Today 4 members of Western Suburbs View Club travelled to Rockingham to help Rockingham Sound VIEW Club members celebrate the club's 18th birthday - CONGRATULATIONS and happy birthday!! Thanks Rockingham members for your warm welcome , we had a most enjoyable time - even though we didn't manage to win a single raffle!! Many thanks to our chauffeur Jennifer for providing the transport and for giving us a little extra tour!



19.01.2022 This month's outing was a walk amongst the wildflowers in Kings Park.

19.01.2022 Today WSVC members made sure they had work - play balance in their lives just right when 21 of our ladies attended a social outing at Waldeck Nursery Cafe in Stiirling. Despite the cold windy weather outside, we were all warm and cosy inside, enjoying coffee, tea and yummy food - and of course, excellent company! Members made the most of this opportunity to simply relax and chat. A big THANKS to Jennifer for organising this activity.

16.01.2022 WSVC held its June monthly meeting with 32 members attending, along with 9 visitors - great to be able to welcome so many people interested in our club. Before our meeting began, Raelene introduced our guest speaker, Bret Christian from Post Newspaper who gave an interesting and very informative talk about the Claremont serial killer. During our meeting we welcomed 5 new members who were presented with their club badges - Debra, Peta, Jane, Jake and Jenny. A Special Award certificate was presented to Ros Smith - her great fund raiser ideas - coin collection (now up to $1800.00) and containers for change ( now $240.00). 12.01.2022 The November Outing was a guided tour of the" Icons of Influence" in the Perth CBD. It was great to see things that we never usually notice when walking around the city. There are lots of hidden gems in our city.

10.01.2022 15 members visited Guildford Historic Museum on Wednesday 14 April. We were blessed with beautiful weather and lovely company. Two volunteer guided shared their knowledge of the history of the Guildford area and the excellent artefact collection. We looked through the goal, the house and the colonial wash-house with many members reminiscing regarding the life of our own families.... Members lunched at the historic Post Office building which is now an amazing Cafe and Garden Centre. Well worth a visit in it's self. A very enjoyable day out was had by all.



07.01.2022 The speaker today was our member Frances Holly who gave us an insight into her families' history as early Irish settlers in WA. A most interesting presentation.

06.01.2022 Our 19th Birthday today. Lots of members and guests, fine food and amazing cupcakes.

04.01.2022 Di Hartigan receiving President's Appreciation Award at Zone morning tea. Well deserved honour.
