15.01.2022 <> After 25 years, the Jake Trap is longer available for sale. We recently received the sad news that Jake Traps will no longer be manufactured or available for sale. J.C. Conner, the great US trapper, who designed the Jake Traps has made the tough decision to no longer make them. JC, who makes the Jakes himself, has been suffering from an injury for the past year which has eventually forced him to stop making them. Jim combined his years of experience in trappi...ng with the knowledge he gained from working on thousands of traps in his custom modification business. He dreamed of one day designing his own project a dogless trap with a large, low, heavy-duty pan with total tension control. In the 1990’s, his first prototype was named the Coyote "Jake" Trap, after his first grandchild. Western Trapping Supplies started selling Jake Traps in 2004. Most of the Jake Traps we have sold during the past 15 years are still in use without needing any repairs or adjustments confirming Jim’s claim that his traps really were the toughest on the market. Although they are no longer being made, the Jake will still claim thousands more wild dogs here in Australia as they continue to do their job year after year. Thanks JC Conner for an awesome trap and all the best for your future!

Being used to the standard el-cheapo $5 leather gloves, I had no idea that a set of gloves could be so good. The deer skins gloves are very comfy and have more stretch than standard leather gloves. They also don’t tend to go stiff or hard once they have been wet. When it comes to keeping scent away from your trap site gloves are an essential part of your kit..
