25.01.2022 Get on board this raffle for a good scope and an even better cause!

25.01.2022 Have a safe and a happy New Year! It's not over, although we'll all eventually get through it. Keep the support for your family and local communities high!!! We have been so lucky with our public healthcare system, spare a moment to those many and close countries that are going through relentless hell by the thousands. Those numbers are people, lets stay COVID safe and stop that happening to us!... 2020 has been incredibly trying. Thanks for your support and ridding it out with us, making it just that much better!

25.01.2022 Tonight we attended a NSW Restricted Game Hunting Licence (R-Licence) hosted by Cohuna Fishing & Shooting, this allows you to hunt game and feral animals on public land in NSW. The night was well attended and informative with hands on approachable experts with locals keen to get into opening up our nearby state forests to them. One of the best things about an R licence is that it gives the holder plenty of space to hunt on but also $25 million public liability insurance!!! Id personally look forward to the opportunity of more of these nights being hosted by our local gun shop. What a great initiative!

24.01.2022 Foxes can't hide and don't spook from thermal vision. We've upgrade to the latest Pulsar and Nigthtech offerings and they didn't disappoint on there first outing! #ProfessionalGearProfessionalResults

23.01.2022 A couple from tonight early on. Kokoda loves to work, he has a brilliant nose and drive; between thermal scopes and a tracking dog these foxes dont stand a chance!

23.01.2022 Some action from the Australian Precision Rifle Series... Shooters test their skill and marksmanship over a variety of obstacles, with varying distances often at long ranges. The PRS series really gives the competitors a unique challenge!

21.01.2022 For the hunters in Victoria this Easter weekend. Be safe, hunt responsibly and keep up the native conservation work! Happy hunting!

21.01.2022 Saturday night we were back to one of our regular clients to conduct a kangaroo reduction under an authority to control wildlife permit. Whilst we were very successful in doing so we also are proud to say we had another success! We drove past a known fox den to see if it had any new residents. What we found was a sheep down for hours unable to get up exhausted from giving birth to twins; who were trying to feed from the ewe. The ewe was missing an eye from a crow attack durin...g birthing. Both the ewe and the twin lambs were going to be fox dinner, no where near the mob. With a lamb under each arm, in the back of the ute they went closely followed by the old ewe. Down to the shearing shed to spend the night. With the ewe turned over and the lambs feeding we left calling the farmer the next morning - he reported all three were now up and doing well. Thanking us for getting hands on to look after his animals... And we wouldnt have it any other way! Its little things like this, that have farmers asking us when we can come back.

21.01.2022 A hunting we shall go! The weekends finially here, which means its time to go on a hunt!A hunting we shall go! The weekends finially here, which means its time to go on a hunt!

19.01.2022 Perks to the job - Catching the sunset and sunrise! A long yet successful night, happy to pull stumps and catch some shut eye! #PestControl #NativeWildlifeConservation

18.01.2022 Do you have a fox problem? Let us make that no problem! Were looking for property in and around the Broken Hill area as weve recently become operational in far west New South Wales. Were insured, safe, have some of the latest equipment that helps provide results that count... So visit our website or call us today at Western Feral Pest Control! www.westernvictoriaferalpestcontrol.com

17.01.2022 1 of 10 foxes with a number of rabbits from a night trip out last week. The pups are out in numbers, mostly in pairs... Its important that we find them before they are able to breed. This blokes terror of the local natives has stopped!

17.01.2022 A station manager rang this afternoon concerned after seeing a wild dog/dingo on his property, tonight well head out with some new gear that lets us turn the night into day with infrared technology from ATN and hopefully we will have a successful hunt!

17.01.2022 Sometimes pest control is a hard business. Out and about with the sun still out! #FoxBusiness #DenStalking

16.01.2022 Few weeks ago I had a hunting mate ask us to look over a farm that hed been hunting on for years and unable to get this fox to sit long enough for a safe shot to be taken underlight without hiding... So we loaded the thermal topped rifle and the tracking dog into the ute and within 5mins of arriving this battle of 3 years was stopped. Beating this fox at his own hide & seek game! The farmer got wind of this successful endeavour from our thermal and has asked if we can come back with a program. The price of lambs at the moment makes sense to protect your income with thermal contract shooting - itll help you save money and more importantly stock & wildlife!

15.01.2022 Was a very busy night on a half-blood moon! One of nine we managed to find from a single lamb paddock. #ThermalNowhereToHide #ISeeYou #FeralPestControl #FatLambs

15.01.2022 At the drop of a call from a local farmer needing help and were out the door! With barely any moon, thermal scopes and this fellas nose those ferals dont stand a chance! #Pulsar #HuntingWeShallGo #Olight Hunting

14.01.2022 This healthy and rather heavy set dog fox was caught in the middle of a lambing paddock, entertaining his options for a feed... Safe to say he didnt get his last meal! With our thermal optics overwatching the mob, it was never safe. Thermal allows us to hunt foxes from a very long way away, in absolute darkness. They never know that we are there and the sheep dont mind! Its a small part of our share to help conservation of our natives.... #PulsarXD75 #TikkaT3Varmint #MDTesschassis #MissionCriticalDesigns

13.01.2022 Weve just hit 200 page likes, with your help! Heres to you! Thank you!Weve just hit 200 page likes, with your help! Heres to you! Thank you!

12.01.2022 An interesting article demonstration the devastating effect of feral cats to our native wildlife. With research from Charles Darwin, ANU, Deakin and University of Sydney.

12.01.2022 A great night in Broken Hill with a new record of 15 foxes taken for the night. Heres a few photos of the amazing landscape out west!

11.01.2022 With the effects of the fox population being largely untouched and seeming endless; it leaves argiculture at an increasing loss throughout... Figures like this turn professional shooters from a cost to an investment. A professional hunter will save you money and more importantly stock... it is also tax deductible. Contact us today and we will either arrange a control program by us or put you in touch with one of our prefered professionals in your area!

10.01.2022 Who else got some rifle time on the weekend? Ran some new .308 pills with some decent field results and trialled the new Night Tech MS-42 thermal. #5ShotGroupNoHiding #NoBenchrestFound #VortexOptics #FoxsCantHideWithThermal #SunnyDaysGunDays

10.01.2022 Cohuna fishing and hunting up with the goods again!

09.01.2022 Respect the environment in which they hunt... Game Management Authority Victoria, knows whats up!

08.01.2022 A brilliant morning spent not far out of Broken Hill on a Station with some load development before pulling up stumps as the Mercury hit 40C in the shade! We make all our ammunition by hand to ensure exceptional grouping quality at longer ranges... This creek bed shows a highway of activity! Keep hydrated in the heat and enjoy whats left of the weekend!!!

08.01.2022 Venison salami and venison jerky are personal favorites! What are yours?

08.01.2022 Weve managed to arrange some new equipment, it allows us to see through the darkness in pitch black with no visible lights just like our older NiteSite equipment; but this is a smart standalone optic and not a clip on system! This video shows us learning to use the new X-Sight II 5-20x by ATN with the Tracer F900 IR (infrared) illuminator! (mature content warning)

07.01.2022 Few weeks ago I had a hunting mate ask us to look over a farm that he'd been hunting on for years and unable to get this fox to sit long enough for a safe shot to be taken underlight without hiding... So we loaded the thermal topped rifle and the tracking dog into the ute and within 5mins of arriving this battle of 3 years was stopped. Beating this fox at his own hide & seek game! 07.01.2022 Often around this time of year we see a lot of pups, so its a little bit more of a treat to see a dog fox come into the whistle so close. This fox was called in with the help of the GC350 remote caller by Ico Tec it allows up to 24 separate calls by Best Fox Call and the best part is it keeps your hands free whilst hunting! (Post not sponsored)

07.01.2022 New property is always exciting as we dont know what to expect! Heres a few from Sunday night. Very happy to see some foxes charging the whistle again! Watching this fox through thermal roughly 350m out slowly working its way towards my whistle after grabbing its attention... I could send it. But Ill wait its still coming towards me; stopping occasionally. Back hard on the best fox whistle, it picks up pace. I had better check my 6... Swings the thermal around on the tr...ipod and I tell you, I have never seen so much fox in the reticle charging at my ute hard and very close... Ill have you. Flicks the safety, click, boom, splash. Splash!? Wait. What? He took a 55gr Gameking to the boiler room so hard that it clean knocked him off the channel bank and into the drink at a somersault. Swings back to the first fox who was now hiding in the grass @180m with no idea... Expect with thermal in pitch black there is no hiding. Send it! #WeStillSeeYou 7 foxes and 3 feral cats for the night. #Modular Driven Technologies - MDT #Pulsar Thermal & NV #XD75 #TikkaT3 #PestControl

06.01.2022 They shall not grow old, As we that are left grow old; Age shall not weary them, Nor the years condemn, At the going down of the sun,... And in the morning... We will remember them... Lest We Forget...

06.01.2022 Fox Problem? No problem! Recently moving east from Broken Hill, were now able to service The Riverina from Albury right through to Barham and of course as always Kyneton; as weve done for the past 30 years! Feral pests can cost you thousands of lost income, why wait? Arrange a professional shooter today!

06.01.2022 Feral ditch tiger down! This tomcat was @108m up in a tree stump, very healthy and heavy, it's not a fox although the damage feral cats do to native wildlife is incredible... Conservation might knot always be what you think! #LithgowRifles #PulsarTrail2XP50

05.01.2022 Tonight we attended a 'NSW Restricted Game Hunting Licence (R-Licence)' hosted by Cohuna Fishing & Shooting, this allows you to hunt game and feral animals on public land in NSW. 04.01.2022 With our main fox rifle out of action, I moved our new pulsar trail 2 XP50 thermal scope to our Australian made .308 with deer and pigs on this property, after a quick zero check off we went for the night. The best part of a hundred rabbits which is the most we've seen for some time, half a dozen foxes and this fox shot freehand! We'll save the venison for next time!

04.01.2022 Weve changed our name to reflect not only working in western Victoria, but also New South Wales. If youre a keen artist, were chasing a new logo to reflect the change and would like to hear from you!

02.01.2022 The fox pups are out and very curious in northern Victoria with 9 less having the opportunity to wreak havoc from this night. Between the tracking dog, Kokoda and our thermal night vision there is no where for these Red Foxes to hide thats safe! Kokoda manged to find a double blind mark after we had three Foxes run in unable to find the first two shot, Kokoda found them both one after the other without seeing them first. So he was pretty happy as were we!

02.01.2022 Last weekend we visited a farm with a pig problem in North Eastern Victoria... Turns out its more of a Wally problem, Wally the Wombat and his mates were having a party and even invited Skip along! (we left old Wal and his mates Skip alone) - Were able to see into the dark with our infrared night vision equipment which allows us to see without using a visible light in the pitch black. #NightTimeWildlifePhotography

02.01.2022 Today we dropped into Cohuna Fishing & Shooting to meet the new owner Luke. Cohuna Fishing & Shooting have some great advice and a pretty good range of equipment. If they dont have it they will get it in! They have arranged a new project rifle for us today; which will enhance our extreme long range capabilities... We cant wait to see this develop. Watch this space.... (This post has not been sponsored and is our genuine thoughts)

01.01.2022 Today Cohuna Fishing & Shooting helped finish our new Aussie long range project... And boy we werent disappointed! Luke really knows his stuff, the service has been outstanding! Were thrilled to get this sighted and into the field for those larger game pests and some long range comps on the horizon! 01.01.2022 A few handy tips to enjoy a hunt and also stay legal whilst your out camping!

01.01.2022 This heavy Fox was completely unaware that his havoc on native wildlife and lambs was about to cease; sitting in the middle of a paddock about 100 meters or so away oblivious to us working through the night to reduce Fox numbers on this farm, assisting with increased lamb production and survival percentages. A job well done! Equipment call - This system is light to carry in the field and provides one of the most stable platforms in any situation to the shooter allowing accur...ate shots to be taken where without it, a safe shot would not have been possible. A shout out to Huntsman Firearms for their professional service, recommendation and advice with our purchase of the tripod system supplied; 5 Star service. Rifle: Tikka T3 with a heavy barrel 1:12 of .223 caliber. Ammunition: typically a hand reloaded 55 gr. GameKing. Sight: ATN X-Sight II 5-20 infrared smart HD day/night scope.
