25.01.2022 Domestic violence is literally a killer - taking the lives of countless women every year. Elafs story is just 1 of several 1000s right here in our community. Not only does it affect women, but children, families and entire generations are made to suffer its consequences. 1 woman is murdered every week by their partner. The Muslim community is not immune. Victims are left scarred physically, emotionally and economically.... Often children are indirect victims of domestic violence with no support. NZF has assisted with 250+ cases. He was promised accommodation by a friend, but after a week, was told to leave. Barely a month after, he ran out of money and had to begin selling his belongings to buy food. 11.01.2022 Strong chance for Laylat al-Qadr (i.e. Night of Power) tonight! Allah tells us in the Quran (97:3) that The Night of Power is better than a thousand months. In other words, your acts of worship on this sacred night will be equivalent to you having performed them for over 1000 months. The scholars tell us that there is a great likelihood that this night is either the 21st, 23rd, 25th, 27th or 29th of Ramadan. Since we are currently in the 25th night, be sure to in...crease in your ibadah tonight! Pray, recite, make dua and dhikr, and give sadaqah generously.
