14.01.2022 We took a day trip today from Kalbarri down to Port Gregory to take a look at the Pink Lake. Driving into Port Gregory we spotted this intense green swamp on the side of the road and thought it would look pretty impressive from the air.

How about checking out Seriously Series feature film Road to Ruin, showing at Luna Palace Cinemas in Leederville on Monday 15th February at 6:30pm . The team document their 2017 adventure along the Canning Stock Route, warts and all. If the CSR is on your bucket list then this film is well worth your time. There will be a Q&A session afterwards and our own Phil Bianchi (OAM) will be available to answer questions. We will also be there with copies of The 4W Driver's Guide - Canning Stock Route for sale.
11.01.2022 Spent Saturday night at Peedamulla Station - Jundaru Aboriginal Corp and got a quick drive out to the coast before the rain set in. Beautiful spot to spend a couple of days (or longer) especially if you like exploring remote beaches. Mangroves, fish, crabs and great scenery with a well appointed camp ground ... and hot showers!!! Photos don't do it justice.

10.01.2022 Just after Christmas Bobby and I hit the hills east of Perth to try out the new Generation 5 UBCO Ltd 2x2 electric motorbikes. We managed to pick a 40 degree day so had plenty of motivation to finish as quickly as possible. The bikes performed extremely well as we pitted them against the Mundaring Powerlines Pit. 08.01.2022 Went on a staircase to the moon tour with multi award winning tour guide, Clinton Walker. No moon due to thick cloud but he did show us how to catch mud crabs. Plenty of turtles, fish and even a stone fish. Fantastic evening and Clinton’s passion for sharing his culture is clearly evident.

06.01.2022 In September three people tragically lost their lives while exploring Mt Augustus. A few short weeks later a woman went missing in the same spot with grave fears for her welfare. Fortunately, after being lost for 24 hours, she was found safe and well. We took the opportunity to have Bob Cooper Outback Survival speak with Ann about her ordeal. This is a long video (app 32 minutes) however it highlights how quickly something can go wrong when we #wanderoutyonder and regardless... of your skill and experience level you should never assume. 05.01.2022 Over the weekend, Western 4W Driver participated in Bob Cooper's Outback Survival Course which was held up in Chidlow. With some very challenging weather to deal with, the 16 course participants gained valuable knowledge in the basics of survival. The tragic events that recently occurred at Mt Augustus are a timely reminder that things can and do go wrong very quickly in the bush and having even basic skills can mean the difference between life and death. The knowledge and ex...perience that Bob and his team possess was extremely comforting as they guided us through learning the myriad of skills that could one day save our lives.
