19.01.2022 - ATHLETICS CARNIVAL CANCELLED - Parents & Carers The College has been monitoring the weather over the past week and due to BOM forecasts for Thursday and Friday, a decision has been made to cancel the Athletics Carnival. This is in line with Departmental policy regarding excessive heat.... The College has made this decision in the best interests of student and staff safety. We are deeply disappointed for our students who look forward to the athletics carnival each year. Thursday and Friday will return to normal classes. All students have been notified of the cancellation.

16.01.2022 - YEAR 6 TRANSITION DAY - Mapoon's Year 6 students participated in Transition Day hosted at the Weipa campus last Thursday. Along with over 90 other students they got to experience high school for a few blocks. Core class, food studies and visual arts were on the timetable. Special thanks to the High School team, Alice Hodges and Ms Flo for making the day a success.
