24.01.2022 NAIDOC WEEK (National Day of Aborigines and Islanders Day Observance Committee...OR...National Day of Aboriginal and Islander Day of Celebration). Warami Tigers!... Western city Tigers would like to acknowledge all of our Aboriginal football players and their families this week. We would also like to extend this acknowledgement to elders past, present and emerging, who have contributed to our humble club and invested their precious time, passion and valuable knowledge into our Tiger players. We also acknowledge that we live and we play the game we love; football on traditional Darug Aboriginal land. Aboriginal culture is shared for everyone and we show respect and stand in solidarity with all of our Aboriginal members within our football community. ** Take the time this week to learn something new about Aboriginal culture. We must always remember that underneath the football fields and asphalt pavements, this land is, was and ALWAYS WILL BE traditional Aboriginal land. Written on behalf of Western City Tigers Executive.

18.01.2022 Its show time! The first weekend of Grand Finals is here, I’m sure everyone is excited and will enjoy the experience and appreciate the collective support of the league to stamp out poor behaviour and that incidents will not be tolerated. We have all worked to hard in such a strange year to not enjoy what finals footy has to offer. ... Here at the last instructions to be reminded of: NO metal studs on the Ponds MOD interchange rule if a player is replaced in the first half due to injury or not, the player CANNOT take the field again in that match Golden Point matches Golden Point constitutes a new fixture as a toss of the coin takes place. This is a new fixture and all rules are renewed. The only difference in limited interchange matches is you only get 2 interchanges not 10 All winners and runners up medals and shields will now be collected from the Panthers Academy. A lot of feedback to say its not fair it should be 1 rule for all, this was the original system and I will be waiting for all teams back at the academy for collection no medals at grounds Friendly reminder to all managers cite each players photo 10 minutes before kick-off at tables Friendly reminder to all managers ring the bell, sound the horn, bang the drum continuously and as loud as possible until the match official hears and signals the final play of the match. The noise and screaming is usually to loud to hear anything else. Please have a great experience and enjoy the day. Lets finish on a high note. GO OUT HAVE FUN GOOD LUCK TIGERS!!
