21.01.2022 STANDING OVATION Our education coordinator Alan Harris aka Big Al, presented a powerful and moving oration at the #FECCA2019 talking about importance of educati...on in the field of Intercultural Understanding and the important work Cultural Infusion is doing in building empathy with the ultimate goal of reducing ethnic and race based discrimination. In 2002, Big Al and our founder Peter Mousaferiadis met and had a dream to change and educate children and students across Australia. In this time together they’ve delivered programs to 1.8 million students. Thanks to the incredible support of the staff, students and teachers who were open enough to embrace the various programs. Thanks to Alan Harris and the members of family Leonie, Tristan, Aslan and April’s. https://youtu.be/B--hxnUWdrM

05.01.2022 This year's NAIDOC Week theme - Voice. Treaty. Truth. - hearkens to the role of language in shaping culture and history, both of which are part of our ongoing s...earch for truth and identity. Incidentally, 2019 is also the UN-observed International Year of Indigenous Languages, which aims (in part) to raise awareness of the many First Nations languages worldwide disappearing at an alarming rate. This is also a timely moment for us to recognise that 90% of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander languages are considered endangered. It is our responsibility as education professionals to ensure that Indigenous languages and cultural knowledge continue to be transmitted to emerging generations. This is why through our programs, we endeavour to create a platform for mutual communication and understanding with these programs delivered by our wonderful Indigenous educators. #NAIDOCWeek #NAIDOC2019

05.01.2022 SPARE A THOUGHT FOR REFUGEES TODAY The gathering to visit the bundle of light was interreligious and multicultural. More than likely, present at the Nativity... scene were Jews, Arabs, Africans and Zoroastrians (3 Wise Men from Persia) and a refugee called Jesus. Remove them all and you have an empty manger. Spare a thought today for all the children born to refugees across the world and removed from their parents.
