25.01.2022 WDGA went online tonight for a delegates meeting via Microsoft Teams with 10 Clubs represented. Clubs were updated on the progress of the Strategic Plan, new By-laws, Roles & Responsibilities and other policies. We also took a tour of the new website and received a Golf Australia update from our Regional Development Officer. Most importantly, the AGM is coming up in October and there will be vacancies on the committee so if you are interested in getting involved, roles and responsibilities for all positions can be viewed on the website or get in touch with Martina.

25.01.2022 With the wearing of face masks becoming compulsory in Victoria from 11.59 tonight, here is what to expect when you arrive at your Golf Club. Based on verbal advice provided by the Victorian DHHS, Golf Australia recommends the following: All golfers must wear a face covering or face mask when playing golf across Victoria, unless they are affected by a relevant medical condition such as breathing difficulties (e.g. Asthma), a serious skin condition on the face, a disability or ...a mental health condition. GA strongly recommends that all clubs/facilities direct players, staff and volunteers to wear a face covering that must stay on whilst at the club/facility and if playing, for the duration of their round. It is recommended that upon arrival all players are asked to wear a face covering and are asked to leave the facility immediately if they are not wearing a face covering, unless they are affected by a relevant medical condition. It is recommended that clubs/facilities seek a medical certificate or other proof of exemption for players who state they have a valid reason not to wear a face covering. All club/facility employees and volunteers must wear a face covering whilst at the club/facility. It is the responsibility of clubs/facilities to ensure that employees and volunteers are wearing a face covering while at the club/facility. Face coverings can be removed while eating and drinking. If further information is released, Golf Australia will communicate to clubs/facilities as quickly as practicable.
