24.01.2022 The harvest is in! The oil is initially green and cloudy ... and very scrummy! We now have the pleasure of extensive sampling while the oil slowly clears...
22.01.2022 WE thought our neighbours homes would be destroyed during last weeks bush fires but they were saved by the tremendous efforts of our fire fighters, who had to fight two fires at once in a howling easterly gale.
22.01.2022 We invited the renowned photographer Michael Bau to come to our beach to take some product shots in glistening seaweed, rampant waves and glorious sunset. The results were phenomenal! This is one of our favourites and our caption for it is "The 2013 Extra Virgin Olive Oil has Arrived!"

14.01.2022 Cook let Johnny into the kitchen, strictly to make scones for a very welcome visitor - Tony Hutchinson, an old friend from Broome, along with his delightful wife Jodie, two great kids and a splendid dog! Johnny used Nigella Lawson's excellent scones recipe (Domestic Goddess page 67) but he used cream of tartare instead of coca extract and claimed that the end result was just as good! Anyway, Tony and Jodie enjoyed them, which is the important thing!
09.01.2022 Please do not buy cheap overseas olive oil from Woolworths or Coles. Many of their imported oils have been tested by the Australian Olive Association and they have been found not to meet standards; are old and rancid; or they contain oils which are not made from olives! Keep Australia Healthy!
06.01.2022 It's harvest time in Mid-Western Australia! Our trusted neighbourhood picking team assembled early the other day to pick 500 kilos of blushing Barnea. They were processed the next morning at Norcoast where Roy Jarvis squeezed them through his gigantic new mega machine. You can see the oil pouring into the tank at the right hand side of the photo. Although the oil needs to settle we have been having numerous tastings - it is lush and rich in taste with that healthy pepper burn in the throat. Greener than last year and totally divine!
