22.01.2022 We had this lovely message from the other side of the country yesterday. As of today the NSW DPI’s combined drought indicator is showing 99.8% of NSW as being drought affected with 35.5% of that indicated as intense drought. Our best wishes go out to all those affected by the dry conditions in the eastern states and also the small areas of WA that had record low rainfall last season. A huge thank you to ANSPACH AG for carting the chaff pallets the 4135km journey.

Georgia Homewood and Miss M won the Western Hay Junior barrel race 11-14 years at the Mogumber new years eve rodeo. Very well done and congratulations to you both. We love sponsoring local events where young horse people like Georgia can give it a go and have lots of fun.

16.01.2022 Congratulations Esther Harris & Charltons Legacy and Brooke Sakich & Redline Mephisto On winning the EVA 80A and EVA 80B classes we sponsored at the Brigadoon ODE last weekend and well done to all that competed in the event. Many thanks to those who sent emails and messages of appreciation, your very welcome we love being able to help make these events possible. Unfortunately we couldn't make it there as we are extremely busy this time of year with hay making, but its great to hear everyone had a great time.

15.01.2022 Today we start trials on a new chaff we plan to add to our range, Green Mix Plus is similar to a normal green mix but with 2% medicinal cannabis added. The aim being that Green Mix Plus could be used for calming excitable horses, pain relief and also as an appetite stimulant.

We would also like to say a huge thank you and congratulations to Pauline Bantock and her team of volunteers, every year we are amazed and humbled by the amount of time, effort and sacrifice that goes into making this community event possible. Events like this in rural WA are only made possible when people are prepared to stand up, have a go and make it ...happen and we are grateful that there are so many people like that in our local community. 2017 was a big year for us and the most significant in our 11 year history with major changes to plant and product lines taking place and we would like to extend our sincerest thanks to our employees, customers and suppliers who have been with us over the last 12 months and we look forward to working with you all again in 2018. 11.01.2022 We have had the pleasure of Everett and Jacob from Catholic ag college joining us for work experience over the last two weeks. Fine young gentleman they are, they have helped out with all sorts of jobs from core sampling bales of hay to fencing to strapping pallets of chaff. A big thank you for all their hard work and we wish them all the best for their future.

Big thank you to Eventing WA for running the Event and Mark Warren for all the work done to our show jump to have it looking better than ever.

10.01.2022 Chittering shire's annual Wear Ya Wellies event is on today in Bindoon. We have again donated the straw bales for the Mud maze which the kids are having a great time playing in. If you need a bale of straw for the garden or for the chooks to lay in, feel free to grab one after the event finishes later today

06.01.2022 Yesterday we had our annual Christmas party and this year it was wake boarding at Perth Wake Park. Although Curtis, Mark and Blair couldn't make it we still needed to borrow a bus to cart 11 of us plus young Jeremy Rose down to Baldivis for a day of getting towed around a lake. It was perfect water sport weather and the crew at Perth were very friendly and helpful. A good time was had by all and a great way to finish up another big year. Merry Christmas from all of us here at Western hay and best wishes for the new year!!!!

Thank you to Dale and Jamie Turner from Australian premium feeds for quickly organising this combined donation of hay and chaff and thanks also to P & J transport from Dalwallinu for donating the freight to the fire affected area.
