24.01.2022 Last weekend Western Landcare hosted a biological control workshop. Land managers and other stakeholders in the Western Region were were able to learn a lot about the best practice in using biological control agents to control different weeds in the area. Dr Andrew Mcconnachie, Senior Research Scientist in the Weeds Research Unit at NSW Department of primary industries had a very informative presentation. 22.01.2022 Out West, landholders who are members of 17 pest management groups and Western Landcare NSW groups have been working with Western Local Land Services to carry o...ut a colossal baiting program for the control of wild dogs. Over 140,000 baits were distributed over a two-month period from March to May, with landholders placing baits over a combined area of over 7,500,000 hectares, and baits distributed aerially over 4,800 kilometres of bait lines.
