25.01.2022 What a fantastic and thoroughly enjoyable basic skills coaching course facilitated by our very own Debbie Meich today. We all learned some invaluable skills and drills to teach our young athletes the fundamentals of Run, Jump, Throw. STAY TUNED for our next course date which will be FREE to attend and held prior to season start. This is one not to be missed.

19.01.2022 Dear Western Families We wish to advise that due to the COVID restrictions currently in place for Sports fixtures, this Friday nights interclub at the SA Athletics Stadium has been cancelled. There will be no home meet either. At this stage, the Government are planning to have all community sport recommence from Tuesday 1st December 2020. ... Due to the fast-changing environment we are currently in, we will be in regular communication with you all as new information comes to hand. We sincerely thank you for your patience and understanding with all of this.

19.01.2022 A great morning spent yesterday with a bunch of our awesome parents attending the Parents & Volunteer Helpers Course run by Bridgette and Owen from Little Athletics South Australia. We all learnt invaluable skills in the run, Jump and throw disciplines!

19.01.2022 Dear Western Families It is with regret that we inform you that due to the unpredictable and very wet weather we have had over the past few days we have decided to CANCEL tonight's meet. As it is hurdle night and the majority of age groups having High Jump on their list of events, the oval is too water logged and wet and slippery to hold most events. The safety of our athletes is of the upmost importance.... But we will be back next week as the weather is looking to improve. So stay indoors and keep warm and we will bring you an action packed night next Friday 2nd October to kick off your long weekend! Thanking you all for your understanding.

18.01.2022 Important information: As per the SA HEALTH advice, as of midnight tonight, and for the next 2 weeks, Western Little Athletics Club Meets and Trainings are cancelled! State PB Classic 1 this Sunday has been postponed and Interclub Region 3 on Friday 27th Nov has been postponed also.... We will give you more information as it comes to hand. Over the last few months they have been so supportive to our club! - Our long jump pits have a whole new look! - Our 400 metre track has had alot of repair done!... - Our rolla door that was vandalised has been fixed - They organised a massive hard waste pick up after our clean up! - City of Charles Sturt are supporting us with our line marking for the year with an Awesome GRANT! - We also have funds for a new high jump trolley and all new wheelie drinks trollers for each age group! 04.01.2022 SQUASH ANYONE? One of our Western families has recently taken over Somerton Squash Centre and they would like to invite you to a very special FREE Open Day this Sunday. So if you are looking for something fun to do with the family these school holidays, check out the details below: When: Sunday 17th January... Time: 10am 2pm Cost: Completely FREE Where: 11 Moore Street, Somerton Park Come and join in on the fun and enjoy free juice boxes, sausage sizzle, face painting and drinks. There will be 2 experienced squash coaches in attendance who will have some fun structured activities and games for the kids as well as several empty courts with rackets and balls where parents and children can try their hand at Squash. So go along and support our local community and members. We will be handing out FREE passes next Friday night that expire at the end of January.

02.01.2022 COME AND TRY & REGO NIGHT Western Little Athletics Club is holding a FREE Come and Try Night on Friday, 11 September at 6pm. Grab your friends and come along and join in the active fun!... Little athletics is a fun, social and active program for girls and boys aged 3 to 16. The program teaches a wide range of skills and events from running, jumping and throwing.
