11.01.2022 Merricks Creek's headwaters begin in Merricks North today but in past times may have started higher up the valley towards Red Hill. The lower stretches of the creek reflect land use practices further upstream and makes a great focus for VCE groups studying human impacts. The river is navigable from the Balnarring Beach Rd Bridge all the way to the river mouth at Somers. Westernport Seakayaking Co. 0411988895
