25.01.2022 Warmer weather is on the way! Are you ssssnake ready? Ok so we definitely dont want to scare anyone but we want to get you aware, prepared and educated! These three super important factors will keep you and our highly misunderstood beautiful snakes safe this coming warm season! Last season we relocated anywhere between 5-10 snakes per week covering suburbs all across PERTH and thats just after our normal day jobs work hours....Continue reading
24.01.2022 Bobtail Lizard (Tiliqua rugosa) We removed this cute little fella off the road near Jurien this afternoon, just before it headed into oncoming traffic so definitely a lucky lizard! Don’t forget to watch out for them! Photos taken via camera phone only. ... #teamwildlifeml #lizardsrule
24.01.2022 Tiger Snake (Notechis scutatus) Dangerously Venomous Location- WATTLE GROVE ... Another Friday and another Tiger Snake removed and relocated from Wattle Grove, actually one of two snakes removed from the area today so this is definitely our hot spot for calls as was last season, more development has been done now to so unfortunately our snakes and other wildlife have even less places to live and hide! This snake was spotted in the garage of a family home in amongst some shoes and thongs so a very very lucky outcome, accidentally standing on this snake could spell disaster! Snakes will need shade to cool down desperately with hot days like today so keep your eyes peeled! A massive thank you to the man and his wonderful family for the call and donation! Video to follow! #teamwildlifeml #snakesrule

15.01.2022 A skippy portrait and a snap of a cute and curious little joey while at John Forrest yesterday.
15.01.2022 Dugite (Pseudonaja a. affinis) also locally known as a Spotted Brown Snake or Brown Snake. Rescue location - a backyard in Bayswater, PERTH, W.A We are nick naming this individual ZOMBIE as it is blind in one eye and covered in scars but still very switched on and healthy, the Dugite can be very resilient and this hardened individual is a prime example, it has obviously had a few battles and on inspection it has a damaged eye, many healed puncture wounds and a wound con...sistent with a tangled netting injury. We have taken it in for the night and have also pulled a tick and some retained shedding off it and will release it into a perfect location near its found zone area tomorrow. Another beautiful snake off to a better location! #teamwildlifeML

10.01.2022 It’s been 22 yrs since this beautiful young soul and legendary reptile kid was taken from us... You are in my thoughts everyday my friend I always wonder just... how much fun we would be having together these days, rescuing snakes and keeping reptiles in now what is an easy platform to do this! Tiger Snakes remind me of the tragic day you were bitten but they also remind me of the love you had for them. So many memories run through my mind, the grasp you had of scientific names of every reptile, waiting to finish school so we could all ride our bikes to bushland and herp for reptiles and play with the local Dugite’s, the excitement of finding new species and ticking off the pages in the Reptiles & Amphibians of the Perth Region Book, going to snake calls with you and your legendary snake catcher Dad! Photographing reptiles on the old school cameras where we had to take them down to the newsagent and wait for them to be developed, all the magical times we had at your house! I could go on about the memories for days! There are so many! One thing is for sure though you were the most kindest person I have ever met and you were such a great and true friend! The memories will never fade and I know you are still here because you have saved me from a few close calls already and I know you are probably in my snake room every night! Every snake I have saved is because of you, you sparked my passion and I thank you for that my friend! I will cherish you forever Tony See you when I get there...... RIP Anthony Pattison aka - (Tony) 26/11/83- 5/11/98 My thoughts are with your family today Lyn Pattison Wesley Pattison Dave and Matt

08.01.2022 *CAUTION NEVER APPROACH, GET CLOSE TO A VENOMOUS SNAKE OR COPY ANY OF OUR TECHNIQUES* This is a little vid I took last night of the beautiful little Southern Death Adder (Acanthophis antarticus) to show even though they may look intimidating to some and be inside the top 10 most venomous snakes in the world they will not go out of their way to harm you, they will only bite in defence or if trodden on so as with all snakes just give them a wide berth and a healthy respect ...if you come across one! Admire from a safe distance. Death Adders are my favourite Australian Elapid and from working with so many since a young age I know just how beautifully natured they are when treated with respect! Don’t fear snakes just respect them and understand that they play a super vital role in the eco system and deserve to live in peace just like any other creature! #snakesrule #teamwildlifeml

Mt Helena has always been one of our frequent suburbs in summer for relocating reptiles so it was great to get amongst some locals and talk about the positive side of snakes A big thanks to everyone that came along and to our great friend Ali Lawton from Ali’s Reptile Relocations and the Mount Helena Community Kindergarten and Playgroup for having us come along! 06.01.2022 Meet our female Black-headed Python (Aspidites melanocephalus) aka - Queen Clio In captivity she eats mice, rats and chickens but did you know in the wild this species diet mainly consists of other reptiles, they will even target and eat the highly venomous species of snakes as they are completely immune to the venom! They also get up to 3 meters in length so it would definitely suck to be another snake and have a Black-headed Python coming towards you! Definitely one of the most awesome and formidable species of snake in Australia! We never let Clio get close to our other snakes due to obvious reasons to lol
