24.01.2022 Merry Christmas everyone! Hope you’ve all had a wonderful day full of great food, company and a few little celebratory drinks We will see you all in the New Year!
18.01.2022 This lovely boy is looking for a forever home. He is very sweet and we would love to find him a good home. He would need to be desexed, vaccinated and microchipped before going to a new home. He is approximately 1 year old and whilst happy chilling can also get exited when playing. If you or someone you know could give him a forever home please call the Warren clinic on 6847 4795.
18.01.2022 Is anyone travelling to Tottenham today/ tomorrow morning? We have a small package that needs a ride if someone could help out!
17.01.2022 Two positives in as many days. Parvo is popping up on farms that have never had it before (maybe from all those dust storms?). Please get your dogs vaccinated ASAP if they have not had one in the last year. Pups MUST have their last vaccination at 10-12 weeks of age. Parvo is an absolutely horrible and painful disease so please prevent it from happening to your dog!
15.01.2022 Western Rivers Veterinary Group THE BEST MIXED PRACTICE VET JOB GOING ROUND!!! Thinking about the year ahead and keen for a change or a ripping start to your ca...reer? Hunting for a spot in a genuine mixed practice clinic? Want a role that is more than just a job? Somewhere you can be a part of shaping how things are done day to day And where you can be challenged and continue to learn and grow? Then there is an opportunity here for you. I’m Dr Andrew (Robbo) and together with Dr Erica (EK); we are the newly minted owners of the Western Rivers Veterinary Group located an hour west of Dubbo in Central West NSW. After 5 and half years working in the clinic I decided it was a great idea to buy the business and convinced Erica to quit her role as a government Vet to join me! We both graduated JCU about 7-8 years ago and have a clear vision of what we want to create: A place where being a Vet is fun and professionally rewarding; A tight knit team where we have each other’s backs; A place where you can learn and grow (professionally and personally) through mentorship and training. If being appreciated and well paid are important If working in a team where everyone pulls their weight equally (no double standards) sounds good Then read on! Who are we looking for? You will be perfect for our team if -You love the cut and thrust of mixed practice -You have a good sense of humour and can enjoy yourself -You pride yourself on building excellent relationships with your clients (we are more than just the Vet) -You are a keen new grad or an experienced vet wanting a change for the better Tell me more you say Our primary clinic is in Warren but we also have a home in Nyngan and service a few other satellite clinics each month. Our clients are the best! Predominantly they are beef and sheep producers and small animal owners. They really appreciate having a local Vet. They love us and we love them! And what about the cases? With the smallies we do it all with a heavy focus on preventative medicine. But we also see lots of farm accidents Think broken legs/torn tendons in sheep yards, mangled feet in motorbike chains, hay forks through abdomens, you name it, we’ve probably treated it or about to. We have the capacity to tackle orthopaedics in house but have the option to refer medical and surgical cases to specialists in Tamworth, Sydney and Wagga Wagga. We also love being outside, not just to top up our VitD levels but to work with our producers on the rebuild post ’17, ’18, ’19 drought. A day out could include: bull testing, preg testing, cattle AI, disease investigation, herd/flock management consultation, equine dentals/surgery/AI/reproduction/lameness etc. If you love variety, we've got bucketloads! What’s in it for you? If you have the skills we’ve got the package that fits! We are keen to create a package that suits you (we know one size doesn’t always fit all). We are not just saying this because it sounds good We genuinely care about the happiness and fulfilment of our vets. You can be confident that we appreciate and reward our team for high quality and dedicated work. Life-work balance is our priority because long term, we want this to be a place you don’t want to leave. Afterhours roster is 1 in 3 and we are nearly always around to help-out (especially for a new grad). And it’s not like we are in the middle of nowhere! Warren is an agricultural town. There are heaps of young people either on properties or who work at businesses that service the Ag Industry (like ours). Between playing/watching footy, going to the pub/balls/races, having a hit of social tennis or throwing a netball around you’ll meet heaps of great people. Dubbo is an hour away and has everything you need. The airport (post ‘Rona’) services Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne daily and we think it’s important that everyone gets away regularly. Got some more questions? Give us a call anytime to have a chat. We would love to have a yarn about whether we might be just what you’re looking for! For all enquires please phone Andrew (Robbo) on 0429 808 814 or Erica on 0433 490 580 or forward your resume to [email protected]

08.01.2022 Our phone number is getting ported over to a new provider so our phone is down today. Please call 0488 774 795 or our Nyngan clinic on 68321335.
08.01.2022 Dr Hannah desexed ‘Bruce’ the wabbity wabbit this morning at our Nyngan Clinic. No more kittens (that’s a baby rabbit) for Bruce who surprised HER owners when she in fact turned out not to be the buck bunny they thought!
