23.01.2022 Western Suburbs/ Sunshine Heights Latest News To all our members, supporters, coaching staff and players, a message from the club in these unprecedented times. The committee of Sunshine Heights/Western Suburbs would like to inform our community of our ongoing efforts to keep the clubs vibrant, relevant and ready to continue during and post this pandemic period.... We have maintained regular communication with our local council regarding any changes, reforms or updates which are relevant to our clubs. The Junior program whilst currently suspended will be up and running once given the all clear to start again using the state government and health department guidelines to ensure any commencement will come with all safety provisions in place. All coaches both junior and senior have had their appointments automatically extended for season 2021 with the full support of the committee. Our senior coaching staff are keeping in contact with our playing group and each other to maintain a regular update on the state of play and what we need to do once restrictions are eased. Our Social club and facilities are regularly inspected by council to ensure that they are maintained and in good order. We have informed all of our sponsors of our commitment to them going into 2021 and will reach out and thank them directly for their ongoing support in our Facebook page. Our aim is to ensure that we are prepared and ready to tackle the major challenges that all clubs are facing in these times. The difficulties all sporting clubs are facing is clearly illustrated in this article on the ABC https://www.abc.net.au//24000-community-sport-clu/12344156 Stay Safe Everyone.
