ASSA welcome you to discuss the sustainability of the current system, with consideration of its impact on the lives of trainees, as well as the ongoing the need for high quality surgical care.... The winning essay, judged by a panel of academic surgeons across ANZ, will win a premium suturing kit kindly donated by RACS NSW, and be considered for journal publication. 19.01.2022 As part of RACS NSW Surgeons Month 2018 the NSW State Office is again hosting the Prep for SET course - Saturday 3 November. Cost is $75 This is a one day workshop targeted at medical students and junior doctors preparing for a career in surgery. The day will consist of presentations by Fellows, Trainees and Medical professionals on topics including; Getting an Unaccredited Position, Finding a Mentor, CV and Interview Preparation and Research. I would like to invite you to a study on the role of communication in the operating theatre while assisting a surgeon to close a wound. This study will take place in the simulated operating theatre at the Institute of Academic Surgery at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital on: August 1st - 9:30 am to 12:30pm August 15th - 9:30 am to 12:30pm August 23rd - 9:30 am to 02:30pm Your participation will be for 2 hours. Actual study time should not take longer than 30minutes after which you can leave. We are looking to recruit 60 students. Refreshments will be provided.
