22.01.2022 Our Livestock team enjoyed a great couple of days at the 2019 Canberra Royal! Our steers came away with First and Second in their class along with a student coming home with first in Paraders and Second in Junior Judging. It was a very educational show along with having the opportunity to meet with industry representatives. Congratulations to all competitors. Now the road to Sydney Royal!

19.01.2022 Yesterday our Livestock Show Team had the honour of participating in the 2019 Unischools Steer Challenge. Our team was lucky enough to come away with a few ribbons with more results to be announced at Closing Ceremony in September. We are extremely proud of our new team members who represented themselves and the University extremely well working with ‘Pablo’ at their first show! We would like to thank the sponsors and organisers of this event along with our farm manager Joe and Clem for all your support. Looking forward to the up coming Upper Hunter Beef Bonanza later this year

18.01.2022 Best experience with great people thank you everyone for the opportunities and many memories.

18.01.2022 Genetics are the point of the arrow when it comes to the livestock industry. Although genetics are of equal importance to disciplines such as herd management, n...utrition, animal health, marketing, forages, record keeping and Human Resources, genetics remain the prime mover. As the last link in the value chain, the consumer being the first link, genetics determine how the rest of the value chain flourishes or fails. It is the duty of the seedstock producer to act as a scientist with their ranch or farm being their laboratory. By adapting their genetics to the particular environment, resources and objectives they’re dealing with, the seedstock producer experiments, invents and proves or disproves genetics. PJ Budler 2020

06.01.2022 With these crazy and uncertain times at the moment, it is now that we choose to stand with each other as best we can to combat this current pandemic. Even though we are unable to do as many wonderful things as we would usually, we are forever grateful for the experiences we have had and can not wait for all the new opportunities that are yet to be achieved.

02.01.2022 As the year is drawing to a close, Santa made an early visit to the farm! We were lucky enough to get some photos with Santa and some of our home bred steers! We wish everyone a very happy and safe Christmas period and can not thank those enough for all your support throughout the year. We are looking forward to a fun and successful year within 2020 and wish everyone the very best! Our hearts and thoughts go out to everyone who has been affected by the recent fires!
