19.01.2022 NEWS: A woman has been charged with two separate PCA offences and driving whilst disqualified in just over a 24-hour period after being stopped by police in Sydney’s west. About 11.00am on Thursday, November 26, 2020, officers attached to Nepean Highway Patrol stopped a Honda City sedan on Nepean Street, Leonay. Checks revealed the driver, a 68-year-old woman, was a disqualified driver. The woman was charged with driving whilst disqualified and was due to appear at Penrith L...ocal Court on Thursday December, 17, 2020. Later that day, about 6.00pm, police stopped the same car on Pamela Parade, Leonay. The woman was breath tested and allegedly provided a positive sample. She was arrested and taken to Springwood Police Station, where she underwent a breath analysis. The woman returned an alleged reading of 0.123. She was charged with mid-range PCA and driving whilst disqualified; She was given bail conditions not to occupy the driver’s seat of a motor vehicle and was bailed to appear at Penrith Local Court on Thursday, December 17, 2020. About 6.00pm yesterday (Friday, November 27, 2020), officers from Nepean Highway Patrol stopped the 68-year-old woman driving the same car again on Pamela Parade, Leonay. She allegedly failed to complete a roadside breath test and was arrested and taken to Penrith Police Station, where she underwent a breath analysis. She allegedly returned a reading of 0.148. She was charged with high-range PCA, drive whilst disqualified and breach of bail. The woman was refused bail and appeared before Parramatta Local Court today.
