Waratah Sporting Complex, Orange will be the venue for the day's action. 09.01.2022 Castlereagh Cougars Undefeated Under 16’s Midway through the Western Women’s Rugby League (WWRL) competition the Castlereagh Cougars Under 16s team will face ...their biggest challenge this Sunday when they face up against the well performed Woodbridge Cup outfit at Robertson Oval in Dunedoo. The Cougars are undefeated so far in the competition which is a great testimony to their dedication to the game when consideration is given to the vast distances that these girls, and their parents have to travel each weekend to get them to games. In many cases even getting to a home game can involve a minimum of three plus hours travel each way. Of course this is the same for all the Castlereagh Cougar teams across the four grades that play in the WWRL. Featuring some absolutely exciting talent this band of enthusiastic Under 16 players is a blend of players who have had a year of full contact rugby league and some who are experiencing the Greatest Game Of All for the first time but still their spirit prevails against the odds that other clubs in the competition could not contemplate. No matter what the result this Sunday the Castlereagh Cougars Under 16’s are a shining example of what enthusiasm, dedication and the love of rugby league can produce. See more
