25.01.2022 Day one of our branch championship has played out nicely. Maximum numbers allowed enjoyed the tricky courses with some good results across all divisions.

17.01.2022 Hello members. A few reminders. West Gippy is hosting a Branch ABA shoot this Sunday. Pre-registration is mandatory. If you don't pre reg then you won't be allowed to shoot. Pre reg can be done via the Branch web page or emailing Steve. It is the start of daylight saving this Sunday so if you don't put your clock forward you will be late. As a result of this the top course will be closed from tomorrow until after the shoot Sunday. The bottom course is still open ( if you sho...ot the bottom bring gum boots) as well as the practice range. Hope to see you there, (well all those that live regional anyway.)

17.01.2022 A great day at MTB today. Several of our members made the effort to attend. Some tricky shots. Well done to MTB for the courses. Well set out.

16.01.2022 Not a lot has been happening at the club for the obvious reasons, but that is not to say our members aren’t keeping busy. The latest edition of Archery Action Magazine features not one, but two articles by club stalwart Mark Burrows. A great read, go get yourself a copy today.

15.01.2022 Branch championships are finished. This shoot allowed our club to celebrate its 40th anniversary and for that we are grateful. All participants received a commemorative pin to mark the occasion. Thanks to all that made the weekend what it was.

10.01.2022 Had our Branch IFAA today at Boola Valley. Due to the fact some of our members took it upon themselves to reside in Metro Melbourne they couldn’t come. But we had a great day, with great weather and great groups on great courses in great a great atmosphere. However what wasn’t great is the DH’s that looks like they have stuffed things again and now we are in a greater lockdown. Just great. However hopefully when we come out the other side all will be great again.

04.01.2022 With all due respects to those members of WGFA that are still in lockdown in the forbidden zone ............. we the regionals had a great day . The first Branch G shoot since the Covid lockdown rules were relaxed for regional Victoria. It wasn’t a huge turn out but we all enjoyed ourselves. West Gippy set up part of the course that was to be used for the cancelled Covid State shoot early in the year and most found it challenging. Just a taste though the full courses will... be used for the Branch Championships in late November. However there is always an exception. Trev shot a 400 in the afternoon And Leonie who shot a PB 390 Leonie’s B Grade looks like it is done and dusted. Well done to these two and to all that turned up. All observed social distancing protocols and masks were worn when required. All the elite athletes removing their masks to shoot. And others like me who just ate all day so I could keep mine lowered. Looking forward to the MTB shoot next Month. Hopefully those behind the ring of aluminium will be allowed out to play very soon. See more

01.01.2022 The easing of current restrictions as of 11:59pm tonight is very welcome news to a club like ours that has members in both regional and metro’ areas of Victoria. Over the course of this pandemic we have had quite a bit of interest from people wanting to either join up, and or learn . This will again be possible. The next few Monday evenings you will be able to come out but you must book a spot by sending us a message through Facebook. Spaces are limited. Questions are welcome.
