24.01.2022 A HUGE thank you to Andrew Thomas for designing our wonderful logo!

22.01.2022 Please when spreading the word about the hospice project, be careful not to give the impression that the hospice is already open. The palliative care service has reported people telling them that they are expecting to be admitted to the hospice in the next few weeks - sadly we are still a long way from that point. I don't want to raise expectations we are not yet in a position to fulfil.

20.01.2022 The original post caused quite a furore in 2014. Now Dr Smith, who has been diagnosed with a terminal illness himself, reflects on what has changed since then - and what hasn’t. He has always stood up for end of life care being a community, cultural and spiritual event which should be supported by doctors but not treated as a medical condition.

19.01.2022 Look for us in the Advocate tomorrow!

17.01.2022 Just a reminder for those willing to volunteer - please join the volunteers group on Facebook. We are looking for people to help with events and fundraising, working bees, gardening, basic DIY etc. Also looking for Hospice Haulers - do you have a trailer or other vehicle and can you collect donations and other large items and bring them to the hospice?

16.01.2022 The raffle was won by lucky Nita Pountney. Hoping you wrap up warm tonight in your new quilt!

14.01.2022 We had a fabulous day at our Garden Day fundraiser! A big thank you to all the volunteers who made it all possible. Here's our two cafe angels

Workshop hanging hooks, any size. White ceiling paint Brass outdoor taps Our gardener Jenny is also looking for plants to sell for the hospice or to use in the garden. Plant donations can be left in the carport at the hospice or given to our volunteers.

06.01.2022 "Greg died at home which was his and his family’s wish. ‘His dying became part of their life,’ said Ms Jeffery. ‘It wasn’t shoved out of sight. It was a terribl...e and wonderful time, and it was an honour to be present. I will always be grateful to the McQueens for including me in their family at that time." A wonderful article from Echo Netdaily on our Art Competition winner Eve Jeffery: http://ow.ly/h7Cv50C8DLw

04.01.2022 The West Kentish Hospice Project board is pleased to announce that the offer made for the old West Kentish General Store is now unconditionally accepted. This is the planned location for the community hospice. Once the purchase is complete we will invite interested members of the community to the house to discuss the next part of the plan. We hope to see you there!

03.01.2022 Attention all quilters and others of a crafty nature...
