24.01.2022 The photo below is of a bottom plate/ timber inside a wall which has been completely eaten out by termites. Once termites enter your home they can cause large amounts of damage and it's difficult to know the extent of damage until wall coverings such as plaster and cement sheeting is removed. The cost to repair this type of damage is extremely expensive.... If you have a chemical termite barrier installed using a non repellent chemical it will prevent termites from entering your home. 21.01.2022 The photo below is of a termite nest that was in a wall of a property in Brisbane. The termites had created an enormous mud structure within the wall that measured around two metres by two metres. An inspection of the property reveiled damage to architraves, skirting boards, studs, joists and bearers. Don't let this happen to you. Have a termite inspection carried out today. 17.01.2022 This photo shows a tower of mud which was built by termites inside a subfloor area to gain entry to the top floor of a house in Brisbane. The top of the funnell measured around 20cm wide tappering out towards the bottom where the nest was located within the ground. This house was completely renovated a couple years prior and looks great however it will now need repairs to damage that was caused by termites. 16.01.2022 When having a chemical termite barrier installed around your home, also installing a chemical reticulation system at the same time can save you money in the long run. Chemical termite barriers need to be replenished every 2-8 years depending on the chemical used at the time of installation. This requires digging a new trench along the wall around the outside of the house and refilling it with new chemical. A reticulation system allows us to connect our pumping equipment to the system and refill it when required. We took this photo showing replenishment of chemical to an existing reticulation system.

08.01.2022 St Andrews Cross spider, Argiope spp. The St Andrews Cross spider is a common species of spider found around Brisbane. It weaves a distinct cross into it's web which it then positions itself in the middle of. The cross shape of the web and the bright colours of the spider attracts other insects to it.

03.01.2022 Termites can build their nests in many places, this nest was found on the side of a living palm tree hidden behind the palm leaves on a property at Middle Park. The species of termites inside were microceretermes which are a species of subterranean termite. We later treated this nest with a termiticide.
