21.01.2022 To all beginners and members: Please be considerate to others by NOT attending tomorrow (if it doesn’t rain) if you develop a fever, cough, sore throat or shortness of breath within 14 days of overseas travel or are in contact with someone else who has travelled or who has Coronavirus. In the event of having the above symptoms please seek medical attention: call your GP, Healthdirect on 1800 022 222, or in an emergency, your local hospital emergency department Protect yourself and others: clean your hands regularly, cough or sneeze into your elbow or a tissue. 16.01.2022 Have you ever wanted to try archery as a sport? You may have watched the Olympics on TV, and thought, "I want to give it a go". Starting the 1st May at 1:30 for 2 hours we will be starting a four week certificate beginners archery course to be held on four consecutive Saturdays.... Our coach has 36 years of experience as an accredited Archery Australia instructor. Go to the Westlakes Archers Inc website and follow the links to the shop to register.

11.01.2022 A reminder about our combined working bee tomorrow. Start time is 7:30 and finish at lunchtime. Any amount of time you can donate in those hours is greatly appreciated. Tasks will be centred around general cleaning and maintenance to keep our fabulous facilities working and looking their best.

07.01.2022 Look new shirts! This year Westlakes Archers Inc have commissioned a special shirt especially for the Lake Macquarie Games. The shirts are fantastic quality just like the Westlakes Archers club shirts. Avoid disppointment and order yours by emailing [email protected] by Sunday the 6th of June! Cost will be approximately $40.

03.01.2022 Join us for our next beginner's archery certificate course for June. Westlakes Archers is the only archery club in the hunter that runs a beginners certificate course. Go to the Westlakes Archers website to register and we will see you there.

02.01.2022 EDITED: Dear Members, The latest information is that all group sporting events/facilities are to be cancelled and the Fassifern Oval range is closed for all use until further notice. Given the unprecedented and ever changing global situation, we cannot guarantee that you will be covered by insurance in the event of an incident should you choose to attend the range despite the closure.... Please feel free to contact a committee member if you require any further clarification. Dear Members, We are sure this message will come as no surprise to you. All Westlake Archers Inc. club and Interclub events are postponed indefinitely due to the worsening global pandemic crisis. Those members with keys can continue to use the range for practice provided they strictly observe government social distancing guidelines and do not under any circumstance attend the range if they feel unwell. The committee will continue to monitor the information made available by the appropriate government bodies, Archery Australia and Archery New South Wales. In the meantime stay safe and healthy.
