15.01.2022 Regarding church tomorrow - NSW Health Covid advice at 4pm: Places of Worship require masks to be worn and no singing is allowed. There can be no morning tea. Anyone in the vulnerable category (age, health) should hibernate at home for your safety. The 4 square metre rule applies so our capacity is very limited. You are welcome to attend but only if you can comply with the above. Tracy is in isolation for 14 days. All programs during the week are in recess anyway for the school holidays which started today. 14.01.2022 As church attendance numbers fade across the nation and online services become very convenient (who doesn't love not getting ready in the morning or leaving the... home?!), it's important to remember why church attendance for you and your family matters so much. You can't serve from your sofa. You can't have community of faith on your sofa. You can't experience the power of a room full of believers worshipping together on your sofa. Christians aren't consumers either. We are contributors. We don't watch. We engage. We give. We sacrifice. We encourage. We do life together. The church needs you. And you need the church. Wherever you are, find a local church where you and your family can be part of community and use your talents to advance the kingdom and reach others. To come alongside one another physically, not just through a screen. While I'm grateful for technology to keep people connected that can't physically come to a facility or need to be away, it's absolutely not like being in the building. Never will be. Yes, church on the sofa is nice. But it'll never be the same as church in the sanctuary.

06.01.2022 Groups will be resuming this Thursday and Friday! 4-5pm for drawing and on Friday 5-7pm I’ll be starting the new social games night! Drawing $10 only per pa...rticipant (cash or card accepted) Support workers do not have to pay to participate. Please bring your own artbook to use each week! I have a few spare blank art books I can give away if you don’t have one of your own though. I provide all pencils, erasers etc. Games night $10 same as above. Up to 4 people can play on the Nintendo Switch I will provide but if you have your own feel free to bring it along! Especially if you have games such as Animal Crossing! You’re also welcome to bring a mobile device with games such as Among Us. Drinks provided for both! Water, poppers, soft drink. Also coffee for parents and area to hang out nearby. Address below. 05.01.2022 Lakes Salvos is the partnership of the previous Cardiff & Westlakes Salvation Army, forming a new expression of the Salvos in the North Western area of Lake Macquarie. Please join us on Sundays 9.30am or reach out to us during the week.

04.01.2022 The move from the Cardiff Corps site is 95% complete. Despite rumours we do have all memorabilia and history with us at Lakes Salvos from Cardiff. Yes we have the big drum, band items, flags, history books and memorabilia, and everything else which is either historical, sentimental, spiritual or currently in use. Yes there is a skip bin on the site which has broken furniture, old books which we have copies of, broken unrepairable items and much rubbish. We are moving forward not backward and the future is very positive not only for our people but also the Kingdom of God in our area. If you have enquires contact us rather than commenting on social media which is not helpful.
