18.01.2022 **Important Representative information for season 2021**
17.01.2022 **NNA update ** ANNOUNCEMENT FOR ALL SPECTATORS - SATURDAY 26 SEPTEMBER Earlier today the NSW State Government announced a number of relaxations of COVID-19 restrictions for community sport, including allowing more than one (1) spectator to attend a community sporting activity. NNA advise that we are still bound by our COVID-19 Safety Plan and the Public Health Order that came into effect on 1 July 2020, due to the size of our Association.... Therefore, only one (1) spectator per player will still be allowed this Saturday across all of our precincts. This is in line with an announcement from Netball NSW this afternoon that states: "Associations who are still conducting full schedules of matches (ie playing a ‘first-past-the-post’ season) may need to continue to restrict spectator numbers to remain below 500 people in attendance or per zone." A reminder that the spectator must be in possession of an NNA issued lanyard and stand in the correct spectator zone (please refer to our precinct maps on our COVID-19 Resources page).
16.01.2022 All training is off today (Tuesday 28th) due to the weather and the large amount of water covering the courts. We all need to stay well & safe . West Executive

12.01.2022 NNA Netball UPDATE Today we have received the following information from Newcastle Netball Association. Please take note of the change of date for the beginning of the 2020 season.... Recognising the evolving situation in the Hunter area, the NNA Executive has decided (with a heavy heart) to defer the start of the season by one week games will now start on 1 August 2020. NNA want all our members to be confident that we are committed to providing a competition in 2020 for those players who wish to participate. We have come so far - the infrastructure is all in place for a successful return to play, but the environment is once again changing. We will have over 6,000 members and family supporters on our grounds over the course of Saturday, and with the announcement today from the State Government that the people of NSW need to be on high alert, we feel it is important to put the health and safety of our members, supporters and the community first. This decision has not been easy. We have waited this long - hopefully one more week will allow us to ascertain that it is indeed safe to proceed. Thankyou Stay safe & Well
12.01.2022 NNA Update Following a successful club meeting today, we are excited to return to netball next week (subject to any change in NSW Government restrictions). Refunds are still in the hands of Netball NSW.

You must drop your child off at the end of Tyrone Rd cul-de-sac . ... *One parent/Carer per player is allowed at training but no seating is to be used and you must social distance . *If you train on the far side of the clubhouse you will need to be picked up from Womboin Road . 09.01.2022 Recognising the evolving COVID-19 situation in the Newcastle area, the NNA Executive has decided to cancel games set down for Saturday 8 August 2020. 01.01.2022 NNA Update: We hope this email finds you all well, and enjoying being back at Netball. This Saturday is expected to be a beautiful sunny day... fingers crossed. Netball NSW have issued this afternoon a reminder on COVID protocols, following a spectator at Hawkesbury Netball Association testing positive to COVID19. Hawkesbury was able to quickly address the issue through their COVID19 Safety plan and contact tracing protocols, which is great news for all involved.... Whilst we have chosen not to require spectators to sign in, there still remains an issue around our members and spectators not following proper procedures. These include: *not watching from designated spectator zones *teams not in the correct team bench zones *teams/players arriving and entering precincts well before they are suppose to *sharing of senior lanyards to watch multiple games *members and spectators not leaving after they have played We handed out over 100 Reminder Notices last Saturday, referring players and spectators to our website to understand our guidelines and protocols. In order that we continue to comply with the Health Order, and subsequently keep our players on the court, compliance is of the upmost importance. Members and spectators MUST: *ARRIVE no more than 15 minutes before start of game, *PLAY then LEAVE - players and spectators can not stay to watch the next game, or stay to watch multiple games. Please also wait until participants from the previous timeslot have left the courts prior to entry, to reduce any crossover of different groups of people. *Know the relevant ENTRY and EXIT points - this is a safety issue, to reduce any crossover of differnet groups of people *Everyone on the sideline needs a lanyard - the lanyards are all issued now and this will be enforced: 1 spectator per player located in the respective spectator zone. A spectator includes a sibling of any age. If there are 9 players in the team on any day, there can only be 9 spectators in the designated area. *Know your team bench and spectator area for each court - and stay in that area. ALL PARTICIPANTS, be it members, or spectators with lanyards, are not to be roaming around the precincts or playing on vacant courts. There are so many positives in what we are all achieving being back on the court,we apologise that we keep providing information on the small number of people not doing the right thing - however as we previously said, the actions of a few have the ability to shut us all down. Thank you for your understanding in these matters. If you have any questions, or we can be of any further assistance, please do not hesitate to ask. Yours in Netball, on behalf of the NNA Executive
