18.01.2022 It has been a pleasure to work on this boat. Soda Blast came up well, doodlebugged the copper hull and antifoul applied to the running gear. Many hours by the guys on the buff as there is a lot of gelcoat topside. Great effort by everyone

18.01.2022 Back on the barges for a bit. Using premium garnet as the media to remove the coatings. When wet blasting steel we need to make sure the specs for the new paint are achieved and flash rusting can be controlled, even so close to the waters edge.

15.01.2022 All antifouls have copper in them and when blasting the antifoul from the hull (even when wet blasting) make sure you mask up the topsides. The copper will stain most things topside from upholstery to gelcoat. Big welcome to Johnie Rodwell, a best mate of 30yrs abrasive blasting this barge at North Port Marine Services. I cant wait to be back on the gun but keeping up with Nath and Johnie will be a challenge. Marine blasting is what were passionate about, keep the boats coming.

The copper in antifoul will stain gelcoat and upholstery if not protected, so make sure when you get your boat blasted they are considering more than just the removal of antifoul. 05.01.2022 Last week we lost one to a skateboard accident (collar bone of all things), then the human machine Nath had a misfire and popped a back so we decided on some free labour in their absence. This one didnt get much done when we blasted the lines and grease from a car park but he sure did have fun watching. We want more marine blasting work but happy to clean or strip anything from precious woods to civil mobile and fixed plant. We choose the right media and pressure to protect or prepare the substrate we blast. No more lines below yet the Asphalt was perfect.

04.01.2022 Thank you Northport Marine Services for the opportunity to Soda Blast the swim platform mechanism on a 88ft Horizon on the hardstand. Good results, well contained and always willing to look for ways to improve results and add value to our Below the Waterline Services. The soda got to those really hard to reach places, while not damaging any seals or hydraulics. Giving boats that little bit extra love and care, well done Jase and the guys.
