02.01.2022 Stay safe this harvest! RSHA statistics show an average three deaths and 140 injuries a year on grain farms in Australia and a further four deaths and 450 injuries on mixed livestock and grain farms annually. In addition to the non-quantifiable grief and loss, the estimated cost of loss of life, injury and illness to the grains industry and the mixed livestock/grains industry is an estimated $30 million per year.

The group of 40 attendees toured Dandaragan checking out late season amelioration, pasture varieties & mixes, chickpeas, long season wheat and Spring amelioration. The event concluded with a "Beers & Ideas" session and sundowner at the Dandaragan Club. Thanks to Ray, Rose & Duncan Glasfurd, G&Y Roberts, and Kayanaba Grazing Co for hosting trial sites, and to Steve Davies (DPIRD), Craig Scanlan (DPIRD) and Dion Bennett (AGT) for sharing their knowledge and experience.
