20.01.2022 Happy Woofin Wednesday This week a very important topic "TICKS" With the warmer weather and trips to the coast the risk of tick bites is rising. Ticks are a small parasite that hides in your dog's coat, they attach themselves to your dog and transmit toxins that can cause serious illness and even death if left untreated. The most common tick down the east coast of Australia is the Paralysis Tick.... Do you know the Symptoms of a tick bite? * Vomiting, this can sometimes be frothy * Unsteady on their legs * Change in bark * Heavy Breathing and coughing * After extended exposure your dog may display signs of paralysis and its gums may also turn blue. On very rare occasions there may be no symptoms displayed and this is why prevention treatments are highly recommended. Please speak to one of our friendly staff to find a treatment that best suits your needs. If you ever suspect your dog has been bitten by a tick it is important to seek Veterinary care straight away, the sooner treatment is started the better the outcome will be.

19.01.2022 Busy week already with 20+ patient transfers and over 1000kms clocked up between the two Ambos in under 3 days. This morning we transferred 3 patients to Westo...n Creek Vet from the Animal Referral Hospital and as such needed both vehicles running in convoy. The highlight though was "Louie"! This beautiful natured boy won the hearts of all staff at both clinics with his "I'm just taking myself for a walk" attitude. See more
